The best place I have taken my elderly clients we take pilot's for granted but it's the behind the scenes we don't think about and only a gold coin donation for the experience

This museum is a hidden gem! Magnificent displays of old navigational aids, radar systems, and air traffic control systems, coupled with a dedicated team of volunteers, make this an outstanding, entry by donation, day out for young and old. Aviation history is in spadefulls here!

Airways Museum
The museum houses a collection of electronic equipment and associated items used to guide and control civil aircraft. It does not display aircraft but does have a significant collection of information about them.It holds archived material from the early period when aviation was starting in Australia through to the current day.The museum holds monthly presentations on aviation topics and opens most Tuesdays.

Very interesting museum to visit and to know how technology has change the way the airport control towers operate. A visit to the Museum in person is well worthwhile. I personally had a fascinating explanation of the Australian aviation history by a very knowledgeable and friendly volunteer. Opens on Tuesdays only 10am - 2:30pm.

If you don't go you will never know. Look back at aviation and you will see how far we have come to the jets we have today. Like any museum be prepared to be wowed.A great adventure day for all ages.Thank you to the custodians for their work to present and preserve this museum.

The guardians of Australia's ATC, Flight Service & The Technical Branch Officers who maintained and some times, invented the gear we used.The Echuca Aero Club was fortunate enough to have both the President and Vice President of the Airways Museum host us on a tour last month.Thank you to Roger & Phil.

Fantastic collection overseen by a wonderful group of passionate enthusiasts. Highly recommended if you're an aviation buff and interested in the history of Melbourne and Essendon aerodromes.

Plenty of excellent aviation history with a focus on Air Traffic Control and Aiport Facilities. Knowledgeable guides. If you’re interested in aviation it’s well worth the gold coin entry.
