Stopped by for some bevs before flight back Sydney. Cool place to have a drink, good selection of beers on tap had the Akasha dark beer. Great service, atmosphere and the decor is on point.

MISSY THE CAT RETURNS!Brilliant showing by The Welder's Dog (Tamworth). Passing through town one cold and rainy weekend, plenty of time in hand and nothing much to do with it, I found Tamworth ill-served by its pubs and bars except for this little gem. Great staff - so friendly, so helpful. Good beers. A fine local guitar player. Just the right vibe of cosy, comfortable and correct. Tamworth locals will surely have their secret favourite bars, but if you're just passing through then I'd stop here first and figure it out from there.==============Missy The Cat Star Ratings:5 - a place of rare genius that merits repeated return visits4 - a strong effort with no major shortcomings3 - a solid, worthy effort with perhaps one important thing to fix2 - several important things wrong, but at least one important thing right1 - can't be given a zero, doesn't deserve a dollar (as of review date)

A nice place with good decor and a wonderful selection of craft beers. Their taps have a little flask with a sample of the beer which shows you the colour. Lits of wood and an ik whisky selection. The team are friendly but there lacks a little personality. Well worth the visit.

Great beer on tap, the staff were friendly and the vibe is great. Didn't expect such a good craft beer bar in Tamworth. Will be back every time I am in town.

Wanted a quiet beer. Was not disappointed. Barman gave me tastes before I ordered as I was apprehensive about buying a schooner I might not like. Good selection available. Cheese platters, spirits and cocktails available too.
