Brilliant art work has transformed the silo into a destination worthy of a visit in it's own right.

Travelling along and then suddenly these silos appear! Telling a story of success from small beginnings, the artwork is wonderful!

Interesting silo art at the original location of the first G. J. Coles store. The silos are located across the road from the art deco inspired Hotel St. James. Beautiful artwork created by Tim Bartell in 2019.

St James is a quaint little town with deep history to the first Coles store. The silo art is about the history of George Coles and St. James from the beginning and how the town aged through the years. The art is beautiful, and I highly recommend this place to visit and enjoy.

Enjoyed visiting this section of four towns on the North East Silo Art Trail. We didn't have a lot of time to do the whole trail. Unfortunately, we were not aware that the Barking Owl and its habitat were also painted on other silos. We'll just have to make another trip when the new one at Katamatite is completed, as well as time to reach the one at Picola!
