Great historical place, a must stopover if you are visiting this region. Easy walk to a good trail (not much stairs). Very close up view of the historical tunnel. Beautiful picnic area in the footsteps of the tunnel.We stopped at the Big Tunnel first hoping that it would be the bigger attraction" but we were proven wrong. This is the better attraction.No toilets or other facilities though."

The bridge on the walking track is down, so the trail is disconnected. Wait till repaired for a better experience. Recent heavy rains makes this quite dramatic at the moment.

Nice little picnic area, water hole and track. Beware of the horse flies in Summer, don't forget your insect repellent.

Would definitely recommend the 4 hour goldfield mine hike. Please be advised that there are poisonous snakes on the hiking track and some of slopes are quite steep!

Don't waste your time the whole place is in disrepair and the tracks are untidy.Accident waiting to happen.

A little bit more hidden than the big tunnel, but much easier to access. The carpark takes you for a walk down to see the tunnel, but there is an entrance slightly east of the carpark that has an amazing picnic spot with a fireplace and 3 picnic tables across from a lovely still area of water.

Little Peninsula Tunnel
Living all my life in Melbourne I never knew about these tunnels that formed in the upper section of the Yarra River. Worth visiting but there is erosion affecting the viewing area which is unavoidably small.
