Super chill friendly no stress lo key bar where you can lounge around and do whatever you like without feeling pressured to buy drink after drink. Very supportive of local musicians, comedians, poets etc etc. The type of bar that is unfortunately becoming harder and harder to find in the inner north.

I wish I could like this bar, but it turns out musicians are promised one fee and then paid a much lower one or not at all. There’s no atmosphere, no food, and no crowd. They don’t really seem to know what they’re doing, sadly.

Best undiscovered open mic night in Melbourne. Simon who runs the night is by far and away the best sound person I've ever worked with and a top bloke to boot.

Played drums with the stylish Sam Square Band here recently its a great little bar in Thornbury the barmen were on the ball made me a Jack & Coke in 2 seconds flat. Loved the atmosphere, a good punchy sound system, excellent sound engineer and nice band lighting its a little gem of a place with nice clientel.. highly reccomended!

Great happy hour! $5 beers after 7pm I believe. I went on a Wednesday and they had wonderful live music.No food, but it was a nice venue.

The best intentions of the owner and booker can’t make up for the unpleasant place this is made by it’s perennially surly, rude and world hating long term barman. Never touching this place again as a player or a punter whilst he is a part of the wallpaper.

Great place to see live bands. Drinks not too expensive and the vibe is great. We went and saw one of our kids friends band last time and loved it.They don't mind if you nurse a drink or if someone isn't buying, but that just wanted us to spend more money the next time.We will be back for the next band we know
