Maton Guitars

Ordered a bone nut, saddle and pins online for $24 thinking at that price the pins would be bone but no, cheap plastic. Wrote to complain that there description was potentially misleading but they never even bothered to reply to my email. On the plus side I'm very happy with the guitar

I purchased a Maton Messiah as I was going back to the UK for an unknown length of time. I was able to return to Australia some 10 months later but found going from Far North Queensland to the bitter cold in the UK had a negative affect on the finish and the action to my Messiah. On returning I liased with Maton through the supplier and it was sent back down to the factory in Victoria where it was totally refurbished, the action set up and new strings fitted, I cannot speak highly enough of Maton for this service. A huge thank you.

l play under the name Sid Newman see: Ticket by Sid Newman (features this guitar) on You tube features my well worn battered 12 string mini diesel this guitar is bullet proof l regularly break mobile phones watches and the the odd spectator it happens.Seriously the tone is so good acoustically too it sounds great and really responds to heavy duty fingerpicking my style.Just need to get my Domino AER back then it will really sing.l also have a mini diesel 6 string but it is with a mate who is less transient so it's safe.Glad l got the chance to review this guitar it has never let me down hope you like the video and Maton feel free to use my songs or videos,Cheers Sid

I unfortunately have 3 Maton guitars, I purchased a Messiah, and it's the worst guitar I have ever owned. Took it to the factory, the guru" Patrick checked it out

Repaired my ea80 c which was purchased back in 1996 and it came back like new with the latest electronics. Exceedingly happy and the service and communication was fantastic. Thank you.

Did the factory tour two weeks back, conducted by daughter of the founder. Really enjoyed the tour and proud to see that here in Melbourne they're making great acoustic guitars to match the likes of Gibson, Martin etc.
