South Arm Conservation Area
The conservation area is towards the mouth of the Derwent River. The expansive intertidal sand flats are home to many wading birds. The Pied Oyster catcher breeds there every year making the area an important nursery.The shore line seems to act as a catchment for alot of plastic that finds its way into the river. If you're going take a bag and help with the clean up.It's a facinating area with some lovely scenery.... Well worth a look.
