McDougall St Jacaranda Trees

My parrot and I visited McDougall St to see the Jacaranda trees in full bloom on 12 Nov 2022. The weather was fantastic:a bright sunny day with blue sky. The Jacaranda trees are in full bloom and the arches of Jacaranda across the street from right to left, and the bright purple color form the purple “ceiling” of the street which is just amazing and simply gorgeous! A must visit. The parrot loved it a lot and had been saying a lot of hellos to the fellow visitors.The road was closed to the car when we visited which made it easier/safer to take photos. Please pay attention to the cars if you visit on a day when the road is not closed (safety first). We arrived at around 9:15am and there were plenty of street parkings.Best Jacaranda viewing experience in Sydney to me, and it is equivalent to autumn foliage viewing at Honor Avenue in Macedon (Vic).

Jacaranda is the sign of the summer coming in Sydney!Best time to go from last Oct to Nov (about 6weeks or so) Please check before you go there.McDougall Street in Kirribilli was the one of the most beautiful streets in Sydney.

Went on first day of Nov, weekday so there wasn’t as many people or cars driving by. Not sure if it was the wind and rain lately, a lot of the flowers seems to have fallen off so probably it’s past full bloom this year. Plenty of parking on the street also.

The street looked really beautiful. Cloudy weather and purple flower make it really special. Bit busy on the weekend as well but found parking easily. The road was also closed for traffic as it make it easy to stroll through the street. Overall a good experience.

Very nice but crowded. Perhaps should go early but the sunshine wont be the best for photography. Nice park nearby too. Love this place. The road is closed so pedestrians only, except the cars of the locals.

It was nice, and purple is my favourite colour.. some of the trees weren't really blooming tho.. and definitely lots of people were busy taking pictures and did not care about other people's privacy.. you'll be taking a picture and they'll photobomb you, posing right behind you.. well I guess that's what some people do. 2 of the last pictures here I took in Newcastle where it's quieter and also looking nice..

Beautiful place! Got some really lovely shots taken here. Everyone should be careful since its a somewhat a busy road. Cars keep passing by quite often. It has a beautiful alley full of jacaranda trees. Went here on a weekday, not sure what the crowd looks like on a weekend. It was quite few people when I went.

Lovely view with many people taking pictures.-Cafe, restaurant can be easily foundRemarks:-But actually this is a street so watch out cars, folks!-Most importantly, since there is a dog park nearby, be aware of canine odors :)
