My wife and I went here for run with my running team members. It is so beautiful. Such a prestine landscape. I had a memorable running experience here. Smells of sea and plants. It was amazing. I definitely go back next time for run on the sand.

Mortimer Bay Coastal Reserve
A great spot for nature lovers. From the carpark, follow the track to the right (if you are facing the water) to visit the vast expanse of sandy beach. Or go left and take the dirt track past the shorebirds breeding grounds. Walk down to the short and make your way along the rocky shore to see rocks, shells, rockpools and sea life. Wear sturdy shoes and take note of the tide times so you don't get caught in a rising tide.

Great place, quiet and teeming with bird life. You can also see the mighty Mt. Wellington from the distance. There are walking trails too for a but of exercise.
