Nimmitabel Campground
Great park for kids. We stopped here on the way through for a break between the coast and Canberra. A nice quiet park with easy parking on the side of the road and a great mix of old and new playground equipment (nice to see somewhere that hasn't removed all the old stuff when they have added new things!)

Abit disappointed, booked our spot, we were due to arrive around 10pm so after hours. Called the after hours number 3 times at 6:20pm and twice at 9:30pm to get the code for the showers and kitchen as we had baby bottles to wash etc, no answer. Finally got a call back at 9am but we had already left at 7am. Grounds were nice but super close to the highway with truck noise. If travelling here just make sure you can get the code before the staff leave

Excellent and friendly place to stay, Steve the caretaker was very obliging, we rang him after hours!Clean and grassy with a beautiful horse out the back paddock!

Good place to stop, let the dogs out and stretch your legs. There isn't much else here other than a safe and open area to relax without the crowds.There is a covered area with an electric BBQ which is usually accessible and acceptable although sometimes there has been campers using it as their personal kitchen and storage space. There is no drinking water available or running water for that matter.Toilets are atrocious and we recommend avoiding using these unless desperate.

BasicThey would be better served with a lower fee and an honesty box .....plus coin operated extra for showers and laundryFee collector doesn't unspire confidence !

Plain and simple site, plus a very helpful grounds person.Great for overnight or short stays.
