Worse feed ive ever brought a simple crumb steak for lunch but was burnt so bad i had to throw it out

Just had dinner out in the Dining room. The food was exceptional! Oysters & Garlic bread for starters & Porterhouse Steak, chips & salad for main. Ian the Chef personally attended our table to assist with meal selection. 5 Stars!

A trip to some local attractions had us contemplating staying the night. Decided to get dinner and made it clear that the food I ordered could not contain 2 items due to an allergy, they checked with the kitchen, ordered for everyone. Kids meals came out first, ok, everyone else's meals followed not long after. I checked my meal and it had some sort of herb and spice rub on the chicken which wasn't in the menu and when I asked them to check they said no again so I asked to check what they use. As travellers I can't risk having an allergic reaction which can put me in hospital. As chefs or cooks they should have read the ingredients and seen 'spices' listed and not risked it. They offered to make another one, that would be great, waited and waited, they made every other tables order and left my one till last. The conversions I heard while waiting with the inverted coma finger gestures about my allergy was extremely unprofessional also. It's not a choice, it is an allergy not an intolerance, maybe teach your staff some professionalism. Now if you mess up an order, you remake it asap generally. Everyone else had finished eating and we had to hit the road. So just got a refund. In the meantime while sitting and waiting the 2 girls serving were eating chips and gravy, kitkats, polishing cutlery without even washing their hands, licking their fingers, then touching the screen everyone touches, touching the cutlery, eating over the cutlery, touching the plates to bring food out. Don't waste your time at this lazy, filth pit.... also made our decision about staying final and we opted to leave the town and find somewhere else to stay.

Do not dine here. I ordered a pumpkin salad and paid an extra $5 for chicken. I got a few very small pieces of chicken, a few small pieces of pumpkin, lots of chopped lettuce and the salad was smothered in spicy dressing. When I asked where the chicken was I was pointed to the small pieces which looked like the feta that was also in the salad. It was very poor value for money and the chef didn’t seem to care. We have dined at many pubs on our trips and this is the worst meal that we have had.

Been coming for years. At one stage 3 times a week for a year due to work. And tonight was probably the best food I've had there in a long time. Enough to bump it from a 4 star to a 5. Great job to all the staff.

I really enjoyed my stay, the cabin room was nice and compact with really good air conditioning, the location is excellent just off the highway and with the food/crib package I ate some delicious lunches.Definitely staying at the Blackwater Hotel Motel again!

We only stayed here because it was the only place available, and for good reason. It doesn’t get much worse than this. The only thing missing was the smell of urine but feet and cigarettes were there. The booking.com photo vs reality is like something from National Lampoon’s Vacation. Hilarious.

So room clearly hadn't been properly cleaned and I never got my breakfast. Bed was comfy but wish extra pillows were an option. Dinner was good
