OK - the ugliest clock tower in Australia but it's 3 legs do honour our 3 military services which is why I gave it 5 stars.

It's a memorial to the armed services. It doesn't have a phone number, website or opening hours, but you can learn more about it from the Visitor Information Centre, just along Alexandra Street.

Interesting feature of ulverstone. *The Shrine is a clocktower built by immigrants in 1953 which represents the three military services.   The clocktower is built over the original World War One monument which was unveiled on Anzac Day 1924.. Come and have a quick look!"

A town very well suited to older people as most of it is flat, and you don't have to pay for parking, it has all the things a town needs. Coles, Woolworths, McDonald, KFC, Subway, pharmacy's, clothing and gift shops a long with your bargain shops.

Attended ANZAC Day today here. The roads were closed off and the centre of the Clock Tower turned into a stage. Moving words and rhythm of the band made for an emotional celebration.I thought this was just a clocktower I hadn’t fully realised its a memorial. Beautiful that Ulverstone held this ceremony at this location. My husband took a couple of pics as I had forgotten.
