The driving tester lady with red hair rolled her eyes at me before I even started my test, then she pulled the handbrake on me at an intersection with a green light when I hadn’t even passed the white line properly and was waiting for vehicles to pass. Do not recommend coming here with that tester, don’t know how she has a job with that attitude, the course is pretty good other than that.

The staff is very polite, kind, considerate, cooperative and helpful.

If you’re advertising you’re open until 3pm don’t turn people away at 2pm. I am a nurse who’s been on 12 hour night shifts and I needed to come in for a working with children check. I set my alarm and cut my sleep short to come in. I run the risk of not being able to work if I don’t get my check done in time. Why is a government department closing at 3pm anyway. Bloody Government cutting costs at the inconvenience of us poor tax payers who actually fund it I’m sure. Don’t call it ‘Service’ NSW when there is none!

May 2023. Had 3 visits recently, different matters were processed efficiently. There are seven counter points but only 3 or 4 were in use. Morning wait times were the longest, early afternoon seemed to be much shorter. Staff seemed competent and courteous

Rude driving tester, horrible judgement and generally unpleasant. Would recommend booking at another centre if possible, waste of time and money.“Failed for headchecks” if she pulled her head out she’d see me turning my head.Not to mention I called, got put on hold for close to 35 minutes and they never picked up, my call got redirected after they closed.

Take a packed lunch & a good book. Expect at least 2 visits to get it all right. Had a women run down the street to beat me to the door, about 10 in the cue and two counters working. Disgraceful.

Big shout to Matt today for helping me to sort out my log in issues with IT Department much appreciated.Overall, counter and floor team members were very helpful and friendly.Once again thank to all.Jacqueline Walker

Very slow and never enough seating but staff are lovely and do their best to help out.

Ordered a new number plate, from MyPlates, for my trailer 3.5 weeks ago and was advised in the reply email that I would receive a letter advising when I could collect it from Service NSW, Mittagong. The letter was never received, so I called MyPlates to find out if my plate was ready for collection and was advised it was. I went to Service NSW Mittagong, was asked to fill out a form by the reception staff and then queued to collect the plate. 9th in the queue ended up being 16th when at least 6 other people, whose numbers were not listed on the bottom of the board, were slotted in ahead of me. When I finally got served I find the letter that was addressed to me to advise that my plate was ready for collection was attached to the plate and was handed to me at the counter. It stated that I was to bring the letter with me when collecting the plate. Obviously the left hand doesn’t know what the right is doing. On top of that, I waited over an hour just to collect 1 number plate that had already been paid for. Government departments need lessons in productivity management from private enterprise.

Often long waiting times, but the staff are doing their best to get things moving. I never had a problem there.
