Darwin private hospital is a well kept and maintained facility from the grounds to the wards - although not as large as you would find in most other states, it is still reasonably modern and well equipped with fantastic service and support staff.Just note that the public car park requires payment if intending on staying longer than one hour. Free parking is offered for up to an hour - but remember to still obtain a ticket from the car park ticket vending machines which are located through out the car park. Tickets must be displayed on your vehicle dashboard otherwise you may be in for a nasty surprise upon returning to your vehicle.Upon admission there was a slight delay in the wait time to get processed due to a number of people attempting to get admitted at the same time, with only one person at reception to handle the influx there was a slight delay. Allow yourself ample time to get processed and admitted upon your arrival.The experience I had in dealing with the medical staff, the doctors the nurses and all - I found professional and well mannered and provide an exceptional level of service.The rooms and selves look a little dated and tired however the cleanliness and maintenance is off a very high standard.Being a private hospital you do you have the option of a single or shared room however, each case I guess would be different depending on your level of private health cover and what your preferred option would be. Check the costs and your excess with your health fund to get an accurate figure of what your costs of staying in hospital will be.In the times that we are in, there is a quick Covid-19 testing station setup in the entrance where by your temperature is taken and a series of questions need to be answered to satisfy the criteria to allow you to enter.

I recently had an unfortunate allergic reaction and had to undergo 2 surgeries on my right hand by Dr. Ravi Mahajani. I am really grateful to the manager, team leaders, clinical as well as non clinical staff members of Corella ward for accommodating me and my 4 months old bub for 11 days. Thank you for understanding that I was still breastfeeding and making arrangement for a cot in my room. Even on my worst days, your amazing hospital food comforted my soul. It was something I always looked forward to. I even had days when I received extra food for overnight on request as I would get hungry after breastfeeding my bub. I also had the opportunity to meet new grad nurses on various shifts. Even though, they were new to the profession, they already had the right caring attitude, empathy and patience needed for this noble job. A special thanks to Shree and Precious for all my dressings. Thank you Glory for getting access to an almost impossible vein. That cannula actually lasted the longest and was the most convenient one. At last but not the least, I am forever grateful to Dr. Ravi and Dr. Vijay for providing such an amazing care!

If you want a taste of the American health system, come here. Family went for an emergency surgery, had the bill before they had even found a surgeon, this is despite having top level cover with a good insurance. Had more bills in the mail before the patient was even discharged...Tried calling to see how it went, no answer for multiple times.

Really bad experience. Function is not good. Cleaning is not available. Facilities are bad influencing my sleeping. I am really sick but don’t get appropriate environment to live. Sorry to be such an honest man here, never mad like this. Really can’t sleep well as the bad facilities

I would like to thank Dr. Suraj Rathnayake and Dr. Indra Kumarasena for their amazing service. I was very well looked after and i felt like i was in a 5-star hotel. Special thanks to all the nurses Bella, Trish and Linda. The room was sensational, the staff were wonderful, i could not have asked for a better experience. Best hospital ever it is almost just like a hotel food. Staff are amazing.

Terrible service, inept, discourteous staff completely unaware of procedures. In fact, I'm not certain there are any procedures, so staff probably invent them on the spot. My wife who has recently visited Adelaide, however is fully vaccinated and since her return has had two NEGATIVE COVID tests, had to attend the hospital for an appointment. She was allowed in with no issues. Three (3) days later she had to attend for another appointment, but was not allowed through the front door without conducting a Rapid Antigen Test. SHE WAS ALLOWED THROUGH WITHOUT SUCH DEMANDS THREE DAYS EARLIER. SHE WAS IN NO WAY, SHAPE OR FORM ADVISED PRIOR TO HER ATTENDANCE THAT SHE WOULD NEED TO CONDUCT A R.A.T. ON ENTRY. So, either the administration of the hospital has NO SET PROCEDURE for entry into the hospital (otherwise, I should think, they would warn my wife of entry requirements). Or, their staff are so unqualified that they invent procedures on the spot. Either way, an extremely poor business performance ( and being a PRIVATE hospital they are a business) and they are extremely lucky being effectively a monopoly. Pity that people's lives and health depend on such unqualified poorly performing service providers. Zero stars would be far more appropriate.

Parking is excellent if your appointment is early in the morning but if it is in the middle of the day , you need to drive around maybe three times. And if you find one, you have a free one hour parking. But if you don’t want to drive around and get a parking ticket, just park across on the left side of the parking and you will find trees and space for parking.

Guys please don’t waste your money and time in out patient department specifically pain specialist dr. Chin and neurosurgeon dr. Efendy. I never met such careless doctors in my life. They don’t do any physical examination and Concludes only depending on scans and if there is nothing like serious they will say nothing wrong with your body even if your with chronic pain. They will not listen to your situation.They don’t try to help you out they just want their job done without any proper guidance. So as per my experience I suggest not to visit these specialists in this hospital.

I am due to have surgery at DPH this week and their communication has been abysmal. They don't answer the phone in the admissions area, don't reply to messages or emails and put you on hold EVERY time you ring their main number and then don't return to your call. Previous admissions have been better and the staff in the operational areas are great.

Just had a sleep study & was very happy with the facilities & staff. Receptionist was delightful. Lovely omelette for breakfast. Much better than my experience 10 years ago when I had surgery here which was shockingly bad. Certainly if your having a sleep study I would recommend.
