Unbelievable - they will not let me perform the mitzvah of setting a tombstone for my mother (May Her Memory Be a Blessing) who passed away a year ago as we still have an account open with them that my dad is paying off monthly. Until the account is paid in full they will not issue me with a cemetery permit. Shabbat shalom to the Chevra Kadisha

If this Chevra is not allowing a family to erect a monument so that a kever is properly and respectfully marked that is disgusting! Kavod HaMace is the founding principal of the Jewish funeral and by not allowing a family to erect a monument goes against the very concept of Judaism. I am a retired Jewish funeral director in the United States and never would deny a family the right and respect to erect a monument if they are paying off a funeral. If I were younger I would move to Sydney and open a Jewish funeral home and teach you a lesson. Shame on you and in the next world you will answer for you sins!
