Delicious well-priced cocktails, and loved the vibes of the bar. Outdoor and indoor seating, and loads of funny decorations.

We really enjoyed the Southern Chicken Burgers. It was one of the best we’ve had, neither too oily or overloaded. Great customer service even in the late hours. The location is great too. Must recommend!

The wings are so good I just know I will be thinking about them when I go home. We had the medium and it was a perfect blend of flavour and heat. We also enjoyed the frozen cocktails. We visited on a Monday night and it was quiet so easy to get a seat but still a good atmosphere and really nice all lit up!

The best chicken wings I have ever had!!!!Medium was quite hotter than I expected but it was very crispy and juicy.If you are in Cairns, run to this place!!

Visited Howlin’ Jay’s for dinner last night. You can sit anywhere and order up at the counter. We sat on the balcony to enjoy the beautiful view of the water. We were going to order the chicken and waffles but they didn’t have any waffles available. We ordered two chicken burgers (one mild, the other Southern) and fries instead. Food was served really quickly and was nice. Friendly service from the staff too. The place has a good atmosphere with music and it’s decor. Might return later in the week for the waffles!

I went to Howlin' Jays with my wife and a couple of friends we met on our recent P&O cruise to Cairns from Perth. Absolutely loved the place! One of our friends got a burger with sweet potato chips and the rest of us got the share plate between the 3 of us and it was definitely more than enough food. My wife and friend ate the tenders and I handled the 9 chicken wings - JUST! I got 4 medium and 5 pluckin' hot. The pluckin' hot was awesome - if you like a bit of spice, definitely give them a go. The medium is probably enough spice for most, but both have heaps of flavour. The wings are huge too! The fried pickles were great too as were the chips. Staff were super friendly and helpful. I had a Masey Mule drink which is basically a Dark'n'Stormy made with alcoholic ginger beer and it was delicious too!

Seriously guys!!! We arrived mid arvo for a bit of a late lunch. We were NOT disapointed!!! Seriously!! The 'feed us' platter fed 4 adults and 2 kids and had food left over.If you are hungry and within stones throw of Howlin Jays...go there. No doubt.
