Hickinbotham Group

Don't normally post reviews but extremely happy with Hickinbotham who just built our first home. Good quality for what we paid and also they were quick and efficient resulting in less down time having to pay rent at our other property. We had Graham H as our supervisor and also the girls Sarah and Monique from the office were fantastic. Not to mention Amit who was our sales rep.We just signed up for our second home with Construction Services Australia (Hickinbotham) and paid our deposit without any hesitation. Great builder, great process. Yes there were a couple small things which needed fixing (as every home would) but they spotted it and fixed it straight away. No hassle and no stress to my wife and I.

Not very reliable with information they send to clients, and consistently kept in the dark. No contact with the supervisor and have to deal with office staff that have no idea about the actual build. Very unprofessional and not worth the money, would not recommend building with them as you just get the run around and empty promises. They are a different company now to what they once were and have really gone downhill, I will never build with them again.

There’s a lot of catches and hidden conditions. Do not think these people have your best interest at heart , as they just care about the money not your happiness with their unfinished product. They will definitely take advantage of the people who are too uncertain and lack the knowledge of building a home. Hopefully they do better and make up with their previous customers.

Ashleigh Boys is a great service provider, our meeting with her was really a wonderful experience. She was sweet, professional and helping person throughout the process and made our visit and experience very smooth.

We have just finished building our second home with Hickinbotham, very pleased with the times to build given the delays, just under 12 months in construction.Loved watching all of our selections come to life.Great communication and times. Great to work with

I am posting this review on Hickinbotham Group as we are building with Statesman homes who are part of CSA. I honestly thought it could not get worse but after finally reaching completion it does! Yet again and even after paying 90% of the build you are hit with yet another brick wall. No one knows when any work will be done and the same old excuses, we have had the whole way through. I really do not know how SA Biggest Builder survives when they apparently have no idea of what is happening and when. It seems like there is very little project management going on. What they are successful in is making mistakes on our build. Our slab was laid missing a drain, so a chunk had to be dug up, the roof leaked when it was fitted and now our portico is not what we asked for. We are just hoping the final look is okay. They have no compassion, and it is so disappointing to drive by and see no work being done when you are being made homeless in a matter of weeks. Our dreams are shattered, and our expectations are lowered. They seem to think that customers can magic thousands of extra dollars to cover temporary accommodation whilst you wait and wait for your homes to be completed. They simply ignore the fact that people are struggling with increased interest rates and living costs and all you get is unanswered emails and texts. We have still to even meet our site supervisor and are in the completion stage having paid most of the build. Shocking does not cover how customers are treated and meanwhile we look around our plot to see many other plots which have been started and are now just sat waiting for the next stages of work to be done. I feel for everyone building through Hickinbotham Group and would advise anyone considering building to run before you get sucked into the lies given in preconstruction.

An absolute scam of a company, do not ever build with this company or related groups. Started in Feb 2021, approaching the two year anniversary of thsi process and still wiating on bricks to be done, been waiting 7 months now. Somehow ordered the wrong bricks, left them sitting around for 3 months before noticing and restarting the process. Been told it will start for real since the beginning of the year, it has not. Get no real answers, only deflected and further waiting. Do not build with this company, they will fleece you of your money, they will scam of of your time and leave you in the dust with poor services and construction. Find someone else or buy pre-owned if you can, just avoid this pathetic company.

Olivia was amazing at my selections appointment! She gave some excellent ideas and had some good banter throughout the process! Would definitely recommend her!

Great at getting you to sign and take your deposit money, just don't expect communication from the office or your CL to answer your questions or calls. If you're lucky, you'll be call screened and diverted to voicemail instantly where you can start the game of, how many voicemails can I leave before I ever get a call back.

Certainly have had the WOW factor with the staff at Hickinbotham. Very easy process to get the ball rolling on our new home. So far there have not been any issues.
