Went there for my partner’s birthday and it is amazing. All the dishes are perfect, especially the oyster and the salmon! Cocktail and mocktail are great as well. Would definitely come back again!

It’s difficult to describe the deliciousness of the meal, the Wagyu beef was served cold with chilly daikon paste on top, it just melted in my mouth. The prawn toast was new and creative to me, it was crispy outside topped with sesames and buttery prawns in the centre. They have wide varieties of sake, the staffs were friendly and attentive, however bookings are recommended as it’s a cozy small restaurant doesn’t have a lot of seats.It is rare to find a proper izakaya in Australia, and if you haven’t tried one, you must visit this cute little restaurant. Thank you again!

Four of us came to Bounty of the Sun in Balaclava on a Saturday evening for dinner. We ordered the kingfish sashimi, edamame, bang bang chicken, nanban chicken, beef curry udon with rice, and dan dan noodles. Between the four of us, we shared all of the plates. The food portions were reasonably small, so just be aware you may need to order quite a few plates to fill everyone's stomachs. The food is very tasty; everything was garnished nicely with lots of flavour and spices. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant is vibey, with a strong oriental theme. The lighting is very dim, and it was very loud, and difficult to have a conversation with people without raising your voice. For those who need a quiet location with sufficient lighting, this may not be ideal for everyone. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our experience and the food at Bounty of the Sun. Thank you!

Had an amazing experience here.The team was welcoming and dishes we’ve ordered were really good and nicely seasoned. The crab noodle was one of the favorites, very delicately flavored and I liked the shiso leaves a lot.Didn’t get to try a lot of drinks as there’s next round waiting. But we will definitely be back again to try more and hopefully we can stay longer when it’s not a public holiday.Overall one of the best dining experience lately. Not on a cheap side but definitely worth it.

First time here and it didn’t disappoint. There was 3 of us and we opted for the set menu ($70pp) and glad we did because everything was delicious. The cocktail were good too! From the 10 dishes on the set menu the only dish that disappointed was the Tofu Steak, everything else was super flavoursome and so fresh. There were two winners of the night - the grilled miso marinated butterfish and the chicken nanban they were delicious!!The venu is simple yet intimate and the atmosphere fun. They also had a great play list playing on our night. The screen with Anime playing in the background is pretty cool and a nice touch. Staff are lovely, my only criticism would be that when giving the description of each dish, it was very rushed and half the time we couldn’t hear what they were saying. Thankfully we had a menu for reference but it would of been nicer to have the team talk slower rather than so rushed.Over all a great experience, definitely looking forward to going back again soon!

The food here was absolutely fantastic! Every dish we tried was delicious. I think the food in itself warrants a 5 star but the decor of the restaurant was good as well. That being said, we were seated out the back. It was still a nice space but might get noisy if it's raining. The service was good but not super attentive which might be a plus for some. The price is fairly reasonable as well, my group ordered individual items.

Eben is a genius. I honestly think this guy could open a hardware store and it would be elite. And people would turn up for food. Haha. Genius. Delicious. Great service, great food. You will not be let down. Superb.
