Read the reviews and was quite excited to grab us some lunch there today. Cold chicken rolls were ok, wouldn’t race back for them. The chicken karage was woeful though. Was expecting crunchy light battered chicken and a tangy ponzu dipping sauce, what we got was a horrendous dipping sauce that tasted of acidic salt, straight out of some bottle. Each of us took one mouthful and the sauce went in the bin. The chicken was battered in some kind of pancake mix, greasy, limp spongy and quite putrid. No seasoning whatsoever in the batter or on the chicken. Lukewarm too, obviously been fried off hours before and dumped to sweat in a plastic container. To say we were disappointed in an understatement. I understand cooking fresh tasty food is a challenge, but really I would be ashamed to have served up this food. Any check online will give you a decent light batter recipe. Will acknowledge that they use chicken thigh meat, which should have more flavour, but couldn’t taste it over the grease. Staff were friendly, so there is that, but we won’t be back
