Great shop to find some original and nice quality gifts for kids. The staff was really helpful. The soft toys are really soft!

First time to Berry. Visited Goldfish. Awesome store with amazing toys. Helpful & friendly staff. Noting some earlier reviews about unhappy experiences & comments that toys are there to be played with, I can absolutely understand the frustration of the storeowners if parents/kids have a sense of entitlement to play with the toys without purchasing them. In what reality can you play with toys (or anything for that matter) and then decide if you want them. The playing experience comes after purchase. Full stop. That's how retail works.

Unsure why you would open a toy shop if you have a really clear dislike of children.My gentle, well behaved 2 year old son was looking at the xylophones and lightly playing them, when the lady shopkeeper snapped at him informing him very aggressively that “a good child might like to buy this if you don’t smash it up” and then snatched the stick out of his hands. He was quite scared and worried but I gently told him he hadn’t actually done anything wrong-it’s impossible for a child to decide buy something without exploring it first… which is presumably why they were all on display in the first place?!?!?We had gone there with the specific intention to get them a Christmas gift but didn’t see anything they wanted, and as we went to leave the man behind the counter yelled at us that it’s a shop, and not a place to play. All the other customers who were there walked out because of his rudeness. We all agreed outside that this shop is great, but the people who own it bring it down.

As a local I have come to this shop over the years for special birthday gifts, everyone knows it's not cheap but the variety is always amazing, with products from all over the world. I have also liked that they do (what was) amazing gift wrapping for a gold coin donation.Today I left feeling really let down and questioning whether I will be back. I decided to purchase one of the felt fairy gardens. It had a fairy inside, so I firstly queried to the lady behind the counter if it was included. She confirmed it was not and the ownerb (also behind the counter) smirked at me. I was made feel like I was being a tight-asse (at $60). I also paid the gold coin donation to get it wrapped.What I walked away with was something my 4 year old would have attempted better. Brown paper twisted at either end with a ribbon securing it. It looks depressing.You can see from the layout of this store, there is a lot of love put into it and such a store should create an experience for every customer, however it's clear the owner and his staff have developed an attitude that just doesn't align with what you would expect from such a pretty childrens toy store.

I love this shop! I went with a friend , the staff are so fun and friendly, they happily showed us all of the selection for my 3 years old niece. Nothing was a problem, And the products were just what I was looking for. It is the most colourful toy shop I’ve ever been in, and I wish I New about it sooner!! The toys are nothing like I’ve ever seen before, and such great quality. The puppets were my favourite. So realistic and extrordianry!The lovely staff were really clever motioning the puppets as if they were real. Now that is something I would even pay for! I will definitely be coming back to this shop for Christmas and many times to come. I wish there was a happy and bright/ colourful shop in Sydney. I was very impressed for a small town. Berry is now my absolute favourite place to visit, especially now I’ve discovered this beautiful shopThank you ladies for your great customer service!

I had a similar experience to what another reviewer had here. My daughter (who is 3) was holding a couple of the toys very calmly. She wasn’t throwing them around or miss treating them in any way, then out of nowhere the weirdo who owns the store let’s fly “be careful of my toys, this isn’t a daycare center!” Wow, ease up bigfella. They’re toys for kids, what do you think kids are going to do?! Way to encourage people to buy your stuff mate...

I ordered online and thanks to the shop using StarTrack my order arrived within 2 days, even during the Corona lockdown. Elisa and the team were absolutely wonderful, very helpful and quick to respond to all my enquiries. My items were packed with love in beautiful tissue paper and the cute little felt pom-poms that were in the box were a sweet surprise and I know my daughter will love them. Thank you, Goldfish Toy store team, for a great shopping experience. I'll definitely contact you again for my next future toy purchases.

What a beautiful place!I've had the pleasure of meeting Elisa at the Goldfish Toy Store today. She was very friendly and showed us some great open ended wooden toys, which my children will live for years to come.The store has an amazing variety on good quality toys. It's worth visiting.I definitely will be back :)

Visited the store today with my young boys and yes it is a beautiful store with a great selection of toys. However when my 6 yr old demonstrated to his 3 yr old brother how a toy worked he was promptly scolded from across the store by a female employee. As previous reviews have acknowledged this is unnecessary and disappointing.This is not an antique store it is a toy store and toys are meant to be played with. Your market is children and children need to be able to play with a toy to work out if they like it.I walked out angry and frustrated reassuring my boy that he had done nothing wrong.
