Nowa Nowa Motel
The booking staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean and neatly presented and easy to access. There is a beautiful bush walk and lake across the road which we didn't realise until we got there , so this was a pleasant surprise.

This was the worse accomodation I have ever stayed in… the room was dirty and broken blinds, broken fly screen hence flies and mosquitoes in the room. The bathroom was archaic, dirty and the hot water system was dangerously hot!!!I was shocked for the price we paid it was definitely NOT a 3 star, it was a NO STAR!!!! And when we tried to call the staff to ask about the hot water and instructions on how to set it, we got a NO return call!!!! To add insult to injury when we sent a message to the owner, she wasn’t prepared to even offer a credit or any remedy. So I would NOT recommend this Hotel to anyone…there was no reception or people on site, which made it even worse.

We love the retro vibe, friendly staff at the motel & hotel & comfortable ammenities. We stumbled across this on a long road trip the first time in Jan but actually made it our destination this time around for Easter with friends. They’ve improved the rooms which was nice to see, comfortable bedding & linen, new carpet with lots of little extras in the rooms to make our stay great. We all had the chicken parma in the pub which was just as excellent as last time. The complementary breakfast is fantastic & generous. A good old fashioned, unpretentious place to stay away from the crowds where your dog is welcome. Thanks again!

When there was no other options, we went for this. Washrooms are not tidy even I can say so dirty. Hot water facility is there for bath. Nice location and ambience surrounding the motel. No network for many of us and no wifi available. A bit tough with no internet connection these days.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. Easy communication with owners, who although do not live at the property, were quick to respond to texts and answered phone calls promptly. Nowa Nowa is a great little spot - peaceful little town and straight forward accommodation! I've seen the negative reviews but our experience with the motel and its owners was very positive!

The Nowa Nowa motel appears to be in its death throes. I stayed for three nights. With the pub closed, no staff on site, only very basic maintenance happening it has the appearance of a business where there has been only the minimum expenditure on upkeep in the last 20 years. The room and bed were clean enough but that is about the only positive.Specifics:A noisy A/C over the door, but I had to go find a chair and clamber up to turn it off and on (there is no chair in the room).No table or chairs in the room. Given the zero dining options in Nowa Nowa a table and chairs for eating looks fairly essential.Power points with no power, so the TV, fridge and microwave not functional. With no staff on site this could not be fixed over night.The outside of the building grubby, with cobwebs, garbage etc.So if you just want a cheap bed and nothing else I can recommend it, but otherwise suggest you look elsewhere.

On our Facebook page for Nowa Nowa Bar and Bistro we have a 5 star rating!!! Our meals are fresh , service is quick, and we try to accomodate fussy peoples needs!!! We are very obliging, we are a small country pub and not the Hilton so yes we are not fancy, however we provide a nice relaxing atmosphere!!!

Hair in the bed and the bed sags like it’s 50 years old! Shower was filthy! Had to find a room with a remote for heating.Lady would not answer the call when I called back. Out the front was a sign saying recently renovated.Ummmm NOOO

I have no problem with buget motels, I have stayed in many and appreciate the value for money concept. Unfortunately the Nowa Nowa Motel were unable to provide the bare basics. After cycling a days ride on the lovely East Gippsland Rail Trail, all we wanted was a warm shower, cup of tea and to get cozy warm. There was no hot water for a shower! There was no milk for a cup of tea. The heater did not work. There are no staff on the premises, the busness is run remotely. We were given the code to another room and that also had no hot water, no working heater and no milk. This room also had no working T.V. so we stayed put. At least we could watch T.V. whilst being, muddy, cold and tealess. The front Reception and Function rooms are empty and derelict. Such a shame, it's a lovely location and could be so much more.
