Shakti Yoga is amazing, such a beautiful studio space and Elana is a wonderful teacher.

Elana's restorative yoga was fantastic. Such a calming space to practice yoga, with a knowledgeable teacher and surrounded by the beautiful greenery of a byron bay. Would recommend this to anyone if they are looking for yoga classes within byron bay.

This is such a beautiful space surrounded by lush green gardens with everything you need close by, including the beach, shops, the Arts & Industrial estate and an electric train that takes you straight into Byron Bay. The Yoga studio itself, with its wooden floor, high ceiling, full length mirrors and windows, is light filled and energetically conducive to tranquility. I have attended many yoga and dance classes, sound healings and other joy filled events held here over the years.

Such a disappointment. The website does not accurately reflect what is actually provided. It was far from relaxing and rejuvenating and there was very little time in the studio offered and very little intentional yoga classes offered. Staying in the house was so uncomfortable with the owner at times very stressed with having guests in her home and left me wondering why she would offer the retreat and her home if it made her so stressed in the first place. Facilities were minimal and the bed was very uncomfortable. sharing the space with the owner felt like being at boarding school with so many rules. I felt like I was walking on eggshells. The very opposite of what one imagines as a ‘yoga retreat’. Grateful for the friends I made but would definitely not recommend it especially as it’s expensive and there are so many other places in Byron offering yoga retreats.
