Country Chicken Stop

A few different items on the menu plus a few salads. Chicken was good. Takeaway or dine in but limited indoor seating. Staff were friendly and made a fresh cup of coffee when the first one was only lukewarm, happy to oblige. Nice clean shop.

Loved it great staff place is really clean i only give 4 stars cause there pasta is really salty and gross thay need to fix that but the rest of the food is yummy fish basket i could eat that all day been there a few time never been disappointed except the pastaCHRIS DAVIESRECOMENDS THIS

Do not waste your money!Called to tell them the coleslaw was off and it ruined our dinner as we made chicken and coleslaw rolls. The owner wasn’t helpful and said it was the red cabbage. 4 adults all agree that the coleslaw tasted off. Binned our food and we will never go here again! Poor customer service! Beware! We’ve also received undercooked chickens in the past.

the chicken was a bit dry. The chip and gravy, banana and pineapple frita was very nice. I would eat at chicken stop again when I came down to wodonga on my next hoildays

Just moved to town and tried this little store and it was AMAZING, staff were insanely kind. The next night I came back at around 8:17.. before I open my mouth the young girl behind the counter looked me up and down huffed and puffed and slammed her hand on the bench. I was in absolute shock and looked at the young girl behind me who was waiting for her meal and she looked just as shocked as me. I then proceeded to check if you're happy to take my order being close to close ( she continues to roll her eyes at me) takes my order by the end ive stopped being kind and respectful and this young girls behaviour was feral. She then hands me my food I check it as I knew it would be stuffed. No corn like I asked, I ask her politely where it is & I'm told i didn't order corn but instead carrots and she actually wanted to argue on what I ordered!! She then throws her hands up walks into the back complains to I'm guessing a manager (who not once came out to see what was the problem) after waiting almost 6 mins for my cold corn she tries to apologise to me and.. wait for it!!! tells me I'm sorry if I was rude but it is the end of the night..."Wow good luck having a career young one."Let's treat people badly because my shifts almost done??" Is that your brain? I was upset as I was living out of my car and was excited to treat myself & to be treated like that when I was nothing but kind really affected me that night. The best chips in North East Victoria. Really lovely staff and other beautiful food. Completely recommended. And gelato too

Ordered a 1/4 chicken and chips and a dinner pack.Both lots of chicken dry. Chips were edible, but gravy was flavourless. Veggies in dinner pack were boiled to within an inch of their life and no flavour. But, given we were travelling and hungry we ate it.The part that put us off completely was the older man (guessing the owner) who sat behind us smoking (where all the tables had stickers saying no smoking) and stared at us the whole time. Not quite the flavour I wanted with my chicken. Even as we left, he stared, not saying anything. Creepy.

Ive been coming here on and off for about a year, always been good. Till today. Probably not buy from the cold case any more...

What a disappointment.I remembered this place to have great food.We preordered a chicken, chips and gravy and a curry pasta salad.Sadly the chips were like warmed up leftovers from a few days ago. The curry pasta salad was bland. The chicken although cooked well was lacking what a good BBQ chicken should taste like.Complete waste of money.Sad how what used to be the best chicken venue falls to such a low.

Terrible service, rude worker and manger. Terrible food, especially gravy. Burnt and tasted like ciggarretes
