The Sewing Lair
This place is amazing. Pick up materials, craft magazines, embroidery cotton and lots of odds and ends to rummage through. The girls volunteer their sewing and knitting skills and create wonderful things for homeless people, foster children etc. Such a worthy charity.

The ladies there are very nice. It’s a bit small, but they manage to use the space well.Also within walking distance from the train station, which is nice.

Really interesting place if you're a sewer. Great idea to reduce landfill and provide a cheaper alternative to buying fabric and sewing items. They also have scrapbooking items and knotting/ crocheting items.Pricing seems reasonable although limited for time so didn't have a huge opportunity to look.Probably most disappointing is that any cotton type material apparently goes straight to their on line store. Which is disappointing if you prefer to look and touch what you want to purchase. And limits what you can look through in the bricks & mortar store.

Interesting place to visit. Unfortunately we visited when stock was being re-presented after water damage. Will go again
