Lakemba Halal Market
Went there to witness the festivities of the holy month of Ramadaan. The night market there offers a whole variety of Middle Eastern and Asian food and desserts. The normal Hadon street is converted into a kiosk market and all the kiosk serve some delicious food. The foot fall is very heavy and parking is scarce. You have to patiently wait for the savories in long queues.

I love to do groceries here, and a lot of stuff originally from Indonesia. When you are missing your hometown, come to this shop and find your favorite one.I will give 5 stars if they are putting the price for each item.

the staff, especially on sunday mature woman about fifty is on the most rudest face ever I seen. she wear scarf but doesn't represent her beautiful religion. she doesn't know how to smile and speak nicely to human being. she think the shop is the only shop in Lakemba.almost everytime I walked in, I firstly say hai but she ignored me, i ask question about staff, she replay there" with unpleasent tones

Check your change before you’re leaving the store. There is a lady who gave me less change, don’t know if she does it on purpose or not, but it’s not my first or second time for having that experience with that lady. The price is a bit pricy if we compare with other Indonesian grocery store. Go to Seahorse in Campsie for better price and service.

Traditional family run Indonesian local shop – great for rendang, crackers, peanut sauces, chilli pastes and beef ball powder - everything you need to cook up some great flavoured Indonesian cooking at home – friendly helpful advice and service. Yes, unlike so many in the cash economy, they also take eftpos /credit card payments.
