Shingle Inn Forest Hill Chase
The Sicilian sourdough melt packs a punch of flavour. Having tried other food here this is definitely one of the better items on the menu. Friendly service too.

We ordered 4 meals and 4 drinks, they forgot serving a coffee and a salad although it was not busy at all. The chicken was dry and hard to eat. One drink was not made properly. We konw because we had it at Knox and it was not alike at all. We tried to point out, but nobody seemed to be responsible for their job. We also saw a gentleman kindly reminded them his food was late. A lady at the counter replied DID YOU PAY?" very loud. I think they need very good training to continue their business. We wouldn't come back."

Attended 14/7/21, ordered a toasted ham and cheese sandwich. Halfway through found that the cheese was mouldy. Took me two times to get across that fact. Told them I certainly did not want another. Have attended a few times and the one consistent point about this place is their inability to match orders with the table numbers. Here we have a computer system that is supposed to match the two up and then this is brought undone by dopey staff who keep bringing the wrong food/drinks.Never again will we come back and we will be spreading the word. Unfortunately this review system does let me give no stars.

Not very happy with this place, went there couple of times, food has been average and staff are very slack. One of the employees never wears a mask and has her hair down while serving our food and coffee! What place does that! Absolute disgrace and no thoughts of hygiene especially in this covid situation. Before the full easing of restrictions there were definitely more than the maximum cap in the cafe! It was too crowded and they didn’t even check our vaccination. Would never go back again!

My partner and I quite often visit here and found it nice but today my elderly mum aged 89 went and order a salad sandwich on wholemeal and no onion. Her sandwich arrived with onion when she mentioned it had onion on it she was told to pick it out. What a disgrace I will not be visiting again. She was also looking at her Christmas shopping list and the waitress took it and threw it away.Your customer service is a disgrace if this is the way you treat your elderly customers you deserve to close down.Very disgruntled

Avoid! Went here for coffee and a bite to eat. $12.50 for an onion and mushroom quiche is daylight robbery! It came with a bit of wilted salad which was not edible. The quiche itself tasted really bad. I would not recommend this place. Plenty of other options in the shopping centre

Charming little oasis to sit and relax over a coffee and muffin.When you've done enough walking around being busy shopping then this is a place to sit and rest a while. It is on the second level, so away from the noise of the food court.
