Soldiers Point Bowling Club

Absolutely worth going to for drinks and food. I thought prices were very reasonable and if you don’t like the wine on offer at the bar go to the bottle shop attached to the club and pick something nice out. They will add corkage. Foods lovely. Hubs says beers brilliant icy cold & the bar staff know how to pour it properly.This club is a cut above your average club. N fact it’s nearly as good as QLD GC surf clubs. It just don’t have the view.

Food was very good. We went during school holidays so when we went early the meals were delivered quickly, however when we were later it took 45 minutes for the food to come out.Kids get a free paddle pop ice cream with their meals. Playground just outside the restaurant keeps kids busy while meals are being cooked.Enjoyed our meals and will be back when we are holidaying here again.

Bistro food here is really lovely, both the normal menu AND the $16 lunch specials. The chicken vol-au-vent (on the $16 lunch menu) is devine! Also recommend the prawns and rice, ceaser salad, sweet and sour fish, and green chicken curry. And the staff are friendly-as!

Fantastic food and friendly staff. Great location to bring kids with play area. Lots of choice on menu including vegan options!!! Generous portions. We will be back!!!

Hands down the best bowlo I’ve been to.The food is brilliant and the prices are the best you’ll see.The facilities are all in top notch condition and everything is clean.Highly recommend the salmon and the garlic & cheese pizza bread.

We loved our afternoon here! Lunch specials were cheap, BIG and delicious. They even let our little dog in the outside area - the staff were so lovely!

Attended the Bistro with family today and ordered the Gnocchi. It was bland and the chicken was chewy. It was not fresh and the cheese wasn't even melted.The Bistro staff were passive aggressive and rude to the diners at my table after the Bistro Manager forgot an entire meal and served an entree size instead of a main meal.The other diners ordered from the specials board and were served microwaved meals and Cheese Pizza that was inedible.After further escalating the issue to Management in a phone call, there was no resolution and he refused to discuss the issues in person.Definitely would never recommend dining here.The pub across the road is better presented, the food was delicious there and their staff were very pleasant. Save your money or make the trip over the road.

Great food and plenty of choice on the menu work great service.

Something has gone wrong with the bistro.Had a fantastic experience a few weeks ago so came back for lunch while we were in town again.Ordered the pie and duck spring rolls off the lunch special menu as well as kids meals and a schnitzel.Schnitzel was at least half the size that is was 3 weeks ago as well as half the chips. Wasn’t much different at all from the kids schnitzel.The duck spring rolls were supposed to come with chips and salad, apparently I didn’t say I wanted the “special” spring rolls nor did they clarify so I got the ones from the entree menu (same price, just no chips and salad) they wouldn’t give us and chips and salad because it was “my fault”The pie never showed up, when I went to see where it was, the lady who took the order (bistro manager) said she remembered that I ordered it however she didn’t enter it.She said that one can be made, and I said we are all half way them out meals so only if one is almost ready, it came out 2 minutes later with a passive aggressive“Please pay for it before you leave”The pie was very obviously microwaved with soggy crust and boiling hot filling.I gave the bistro manager an opportunity to avoid the bad review by not taking payment for the microwaved pie, she declined.We called reception while still there and asked to speak to the club manager to see if they wanted to help the club out if a bad review or at least know how the bistro is operating and Simon the CEO just said “sorry about that” we told him that we are still on site if he’d like to come and have a conversation about it, de declined.Seems like a great facility and has been good in the past, they currently have a serious problem that appears to be from the top down.
