Stunning view of the dam, would be nice to get closer to the waters edge but I guess that's not allowed for some reason.

Google Maps showed we could drive up there, but NO road, and sign posted 'Do not Enter. Did have many steps to walk up. Also Google indicates a road to Pinacle

Watch the sun , moon and stars rise and set here.This is part of a 8.4km each way walk from dam gates to end of the wall.The dam is flanked by national parks East and West. Find out when the full moon rises over the mountains and water - best moon rise around sunset when the pale yellow moon pops up half an hour after the sun has set behind the western mountains.Park up in the carpark and take a quick climb up the steps.Best when the wind blows
