Lakelands

Parkland with walking paths around a large lake area. Lots of bird life like ducks and geese. Dogs are allowed to be walked here but must be on leash at all times. Bins are available for disposing of dog poo and unless vandals have got to them there are also dog poo bags as well. There is a small playground area near the Lara pool side of the park for little kids to play on. Please note there is no fencing around play area. Public transport by the way of a public bus runs right past the area along Forest road south. There are shops close by and Rods bakery for drinks, coffee ,cakes and hot food or sandwiches. Take sunscreen and insect repellent for warmer months.

Nice to walk around the Lakelands. A bit of birdlife. No toilets or BBQs. A playground for kids is near the main carpark

Beautiful parkland and a good relaxing walk. Plenty of animal life to see and some amazing large water birds.

Beautiful lake with amazing flora and fauna. Unfortunately looking quite dry at the moment but with some rain it will perk up. Great place for a walk picnic or even wedding (my mum tied the knot there a couple of years ago)

A really nice place to walk or have a picnic. I love going there with my family or friends. :)

Great place to walk, run, bike ride or bring the kids to play on the newly improved playground. Also the water birds are friendly as long as you don't scare them

Awesome park, with walking tracks along the creek and back. Play ground for kids and has now been updated with a fresh water drinking fountain near play ground

Walk here every day, beautiful place.

Love walking around the lake with my dog. Seeing the birdlife. Very friendly..Need public toilets near the playground. A coffee tea drinks n food caravan setup would be appropriate.

I love my walks along the lake seeing the Ducks, pelicans and Bird life.The lake has an update playground.The only suggestion would be public toilets and a bbq area would be great
