Love staying here. Hubby and I are regulars, it’s the only place we stay in the area. The house is spacious, clean, comfy beds, bright, with lovely views of the lakes. Oh and the pool is refreshing when it’s hot. Jennifer the owner is lovely and made us feel relaxed from our first day. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely Valentine's Day getaway here, it's a very laid back quiet and romantic place to be.We had an ensuite room at the end of the building and we felt like we had complete privacy. There was another couple there and we shared the kitchen, dining and lounge areas, but they were very friendly and our paths didn't cross very often.The pool was warm and the kitchen was well equipped with tea and coffee and milk included there was even a Nespresso machine and plenty of pods!Melany is a five minute drive away and there's lots of other local things to do.We went to Landsborough hotel for dinner one night and had a tasty feed.No platypus sightings unfortunately though..I was hoping to spot one!Thanks Jennifer!

This was the 2nd time staying at the Lake House and each time was amazing. Clean, comfy and so close to all the great places to visit on the sunny coast. Jennifer is a great host. I wit be back

Unfortunately we could not attend our stay due the severe weather and blocked roads. I was absolutely appalled by the host not caring what so ever that road closures and flood waters stopped us getting to the venue. We did not expect a refund but just wanted to change our booking. This was completely out of our control. The host was so rude and not understanding at all. Please be very careful when you book this property, I for that matter of fact would book somewhere else and not take the risk.

Second time staying at this property and it was exactly what we needed. The quiet and pitch black nights reinforced the fact that we were truly away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We also appreciated the close proximity to main attractions like the Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve, the chocolate factory and the Botanical gardens.

While the service was good and she offerred to go out of her way to help us with the wet and foggy roads some of the finer details were lack luster. There were brown marks on one of the towels and black marks on the sheets. I did see her cleaning rooms so Im sure they were stained more then dirty but it was off putting. The location was perfect being only 5 minutes from the town centre and other tourist attractions. The pool and lake were gorgeous. I will say that it could be made more obvious that its a more share house situation then truly separate rooms.It was perfect for what we needed it to be and I can see it being amazing for
