The Icon Thai Restaurant
It has nice location with sea view at the wharf. We ordered seafood BBQ and beef salad, but they are too saucy to me and I expected to taste ingredient flavour more. Service is good and thanks for answering so many questions from us.

Quite an extensive menu provided by this business, the food was on point and creative with flavours.Table service was suitable and the drinks menu was actually extensive in most categories including wines fromthe Hunter Valley.Allow time for car parking in the poorly designed “city”.Recommend you visit this business on a balmy evening to sit outdoors near the water.

Had a wonderful dinner with delicious Thai food. Their satay chicken skewers were flavourful. The paradise prawns were juicy and fresh! They didn't match their photos on the menu, but still tasty! The massaman beef Curry was delicious without being too heavy in flavours. The BBQ Lamb was absolutely delicious with not being overcooked paired with a nice uplifting apple salad.The decor is nice and trendy with shipyard views. The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious despite how busy they were. We'll be coming back next time.

Our favourite place in Newscastle. The food here is so authentically Thai, we were here every day during our Newcastle trip. In fact, we returned to Newcastle again just so that we can have our dinner here again. Must try is their seafood in coconut. Wonderful friendly service. Delicious food, served quickly. Beautiful port view especially during sunset. Kid friendly too. My happy place.

Nice restaurant and the food is very tasty, service was a bit slow which is understandable being NYE.A 15% Holiday surcharge was added to our bill, which is unacceptable as NYE is not considered a Public Holiday, no sure if this is even legal. The staff cannot even answer my question asking if NYE is a Public Holiday.

Food is delicious and presentable. Very friendly and attentive staff. Great atmosphere with outdoor seating facing the sea. The desert is superb. The pineapple fried rice s a must try!

Love this place. Been here few times and the food is impressive every time. The ambience is amazing, you get to enjoy both the food and harbour view. It’s one of our favourite dinning places in Newcastle.

Blown away by this amazing meal! Every dish we ordered was excellent even on this fairly busy night. The food was fresh, bright and flavourful. Best Thai food I've eaten. Satay skewers were tender and delicious, BBQ lamb cutlets were perfectly cooked and with a delightful marinate, massaman beef curry was lovely and definitely not too heavy (as some curries can be). A big thank you waitstaff and chefs! Look forward to visiting again in future!
