Great old fashioned gaming and memorabilia bar with an amazing atmosphere and old game consoles such as snes and game cube set up ready to play whilst you have one of the many cocktails available loved the drinks and the service!

Best fun!!! Totally aimed at 80's, 90's babies with the 80s paraphernalia, basketball theme and awesome old school gaming consoles! We had a ball drinking cocktails and playing Mario kart! Exceptional friendly customer service!

This place is awesome! Funky lil bar in the heart of Newcastle.They have old gaming consoles almost at every table to sit at and play while you enjoy a cold beer and some snacks.Also if you are a basketball fan, you will love this place.

Incredible bar with great vibes, drinks and atmosphere! Feels like a safe space and like you’re at home especially when Kitana is on! Absolute sweetheart staff and are super accomodating <3

Servers weren’t very friendly, hardly smiled seemed like they hated being there or just hated people. Some of the security guards there seem like they think they run the world, being rude and arrogant to people in there. I overheard them talking about some females and making fun of them… reported it to a female working there and she didn’t want a bar of it and sided with the security guard that lied about the situation instead of listening to what had happened. Pretty stinky place. Overpriced and quite small, it always seems like everyone is squishing in and touching all the time. Reading the replies to some of these other 1 star reviews validates my review seeing as which some are quite immature and unprofessional considering that is how someone found their service or time there which they are entitled to. So pretty much overall, very unfriendly service, douche security guards, stinky, small and squishy bar. Cool concept / idea of a bar though with the old school video games and deco.

After a bad start to my night at a different local joint (name not included) I was reluctant to try and salvage anything. How wrong I was! My friends and I (2 blokes and 4 lasses) were ushered in by the most friendly yet capable security personnel I've ever encountered, we were blown away by the amazing decor and unique twist on the traditional weekend night out." If I wasn't currently in a taxi on my way home (drinks are deliciously made and reasonably priced so leave the car at home) I would still be enjoying myself at the Uptowns Bar. Untill next weekend

Such a fun & happening place! All the people who work at uptown’s are so lovely & welcoming too. Drinks are amazing. Highly recommend if you want to enjoy a groovy bar with the best vibes & cocktails

came here a week ago with a few mates for the first time and can’t deny how sick this bar is. Bartenders were some of the most upbeat and energetic people i’ve come across and super friendly, music was elite and the whole atmosphere of the joint was awesome for a little place, will be returning here asap, good things do come in small packages huh. keep it up guys ❤️

Uptowns Bar
We happened upon this place by accident after being drawn up the road by the fluorescent neon colours emanating from the building. We were surprised and shocked to find a wicked little 90’s themed bar with retro sneakers, old school basketball cards and retro gaming consoles. The staff greeted us with a friendly smile and looked to enjoying their jobs which always a good sign.
