Murray Princess

The staff and food were excellent. The twin share cabins are very tiny. The daily excursions I found quite average. This trip is designed for the very elderly who just want to rest, and be guided everywhere.

What a great 4 night journey on the flooded Murray river. Fabulous staff on board the paddlesteamer, all multi skilled. The meals were wonderful, as were the cocktails. Delightful passengers at our dining table, a real mixed bag. Would do it all again. Very entertaining.

Staff are excellent. Itinerary is ordinarily, sailing up and back along same but if river over three days. Cabins a bit ordinary too. Inside cabins lack their own air conditioning. Aimed at the elderly, at times I felt I was in a retirement home. Nice relaxing cruise but lacked the fitness of comparable cruises overseas or interstate

Value for money. Very classy yet relaxed. Food 10/10. Activities varied and appropriate and very informative as well as entertaining. Crew awesome. Room great. The entire boat stunning yet comfortable and you feel at home immediately. Made many friends and was very emotional at the end. Thank you Murray Princess crew

3 Day Cruise- Amazing vessel, fantastic staff, Mintaro Safari Park - terrific, other day activities ordinary but understand that it is what it is, food prepared well, though budget quality which to us made the trip poor value for money

Great people to deal with in the Mannum office. Home of the Magnificent Murray Princess - largest sternwheeler cruiseship on an inland river in the Southern Hemisphere. The ultimate in small ship cruising with 5 star dining and accommodation for 120 passengers max and no motion sickness on the river. A bucket list must do.

We did the 3 night cruise and were fortunate the see the Murray River very full. Very relaxing. Good food. Plenty of space to mingle or be alone. Outside cabins were adequate but not spacious but still clean and comfortable. Crew were efficient and friendly from the Captain down to the deck hands. Meals quite enjoyable although service some evenings seemed to slow down but it was probably more clearing down one course before bringing out the next. While you pay for your drinks the costs are very reasonable. The crew entertainment" was a laugh. We had Bill as our cruise director and entertainer which was a bit of a hoot. Our cruise was certainly more retirees (us) but everybody had different live experiences to share which is always good. The off boat trip to Monarto Zoo was fascinating and we will certainly get back for a longer visit. The walk with a bit of a nature talk from the 1st Officer was enjoyable but I would suggest having a crew member for the whole circuit would have been better. Recommended

There were many highlights of our Indian Pacific/Murray Princess package holiday, but voted the most memorable, was the three day Murray Princess experience. From the time one boards this stately vessel the staff provide 24 hr precision service. We took the 'below deck' experience and were not disappointed. Room was large and serviced daily. Most of our time was spent on the top two decks. Food was amazing and the talented musician Bill, provided all the entertainment. Night dock was beautiful with the boat lights highlighting the majesty and tranquility of the natural Murray landscape. And to cruise on the top deck at sunset with a wine and conversation was magic! Highly recommend this experience.

Thank you Lisa and the team on board the Murray Princess 23APR21 for a very enjoyable 3nts ANZAC Cruise. Housekeeping excellent, meals nutritious, served in a timely manner, and with a smile. Table settings always looked great when walking into the dining room.Wine service good, table service good. Breakfast service very good and large selection.The Twin cabins are very compact but have plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, and able to place the luggage under the bed. Would love to see more double staterooms and still keep the authenticity of the Paddlesteamer era. We look forward to coming back on board soon.Caroline Cox
