Delicious almond croissants as well as other sweet smelling pastries and sandwiches! Love how the locals come together and sit and have a coffee along this strip.The almond croissant is flaky, buttery and super light! And for only $6.40, yes pls! The frangipane filling has a nice kick and perfect spice to it, but could do a bit more depth. The pastry itself was beautiful.

I’ve been visiting this family business for many years and suffice to say…take Molly Meldrum’s advice, “do yourself a favour” and rip out to Clifton Hill for wonderful cafe food and drinks - thank me later.I live in Brisbane but love a coffee and sandwich every time I visit Melbourne, as I’ll be doing next week.

I moved to the area during lockdown and Cavallini have kept me strong. They only make perfect things. The bread is excellent. The croissant are world class, the apple crumble bombolone worthy of a love sonnet. And today they brought back the escargots. The best I ever tasted. The staff are friendly, but they take their work seriously. The products of their work are seriously brilliant.

I loved the pork sandwich, coffee wasn't too bad either. Maybe the person behind the counter could be a bit more courteous and welcoming.

Latte is ordinary ... pastry a little bit better, cakes are even better and ambiance, the back room is just sensationally serene ... great space to chill out.

Ok, so this place is delicious. However, I agree with some of the other reviewers that the staff is kind of aloof and not welcoming. The guy making coffee is often rude to the woman server which is weird.Also, the take-away tea is now $7 which is really expensive for a plain cup of T2 considering the entire box is $12.

Nice coffee and light brunch/lunch or sweet while in Clifton Hill. Can get busy on weekend. Dog friendly out the front.

Great food but you have to go early on weekend as the better stuff gets bought and, by lunchtime, there's not much left
