The Powder Room were absolutely fantastic from the get go! I got in touch with them, a little be stressed about a month out from my wedding after being disappointed with a previous trial elsewhere, and they were so lovely and accommodating right the start.Although there was a last-minute medical emergency on the day of the wedding, which meant my initial MU artist wasn’t able to be there, Karen handled the situation flawlessly and made sure I wasn’t stressed and had an experienced replacement. The new MUA... sorry forgot her name :( ... was obviously properly briefed on what I had done for my trial and all my info, but still came early to ensure she could meet me and create the look I wanted. I was so happy with how it all turned out!Also Sheila was so lovely and did an AMAZING job on all our hair! The Powder Room has a very professional and talented team that take the time to understand your skin/hair type and listen to what you want to achieve! Definitely recommend!

The Powder Room well and truly exceeded my expectations. I needed to find a makeup artist who could do makeup suitable for my ruddy mature skin. Karen at The Powder Room was recommended to me by a friend.From the moment I contacted The Powder Room until the end of my makeup session, I felt cared for. I felt rather daunted at the prospect of having my makeup done. Previous experiences with other makeup artists had me feeling inadequate and old. And their final makeup was not suitable for someone over 50.Thank you Universe, for the delightful Karen at The Powder Room. I felt immediately at ease with the pleasant and welcoming greeting by the team and once in the chair having my makeup applied, Karen had me feeling and looking amazing.The makeup was immaculate for the entire photo shoot (4.5 hours) and carried me on into the evening to go to the theatre. I guess another way of knowing my makeup was perfect was the fact that the photographer remarked on it several times and took the details of The Powder Room to recommend to others.Every woman should be made to feel special and this is what Karen and her team at The Powder Room do.

My bridal party and I were looked after by Nikki and Carla for our wedding hair and make up. They were both absolutely wonderful and made everyone look gorgeous. We all really enjoyed their company as we got ready through the morning. Karen and Sarah were great to work with when deciding and finalising details for the day. I would highly recommend The Powder Room to everyone.

Your staff member Lauren is a star! and I cannot thank her enough for making me feel so flawless on my wedding day and also my Mum and bridesmaids. Everyone looked so beautiful and even better we felt flawless. My hairdresser does wedding every weekend and she said to me before I walked out the door that she had never seen make up look so beautiful and natural in her life. I did a lot of research on make up artists before my wedding and I was so happy with my decision. I will be back here for sure and highly recommend Powder Room to anyone for their service, their price and also their on the day service. I cannot fault them.

The Powder Room came to my rescue after my original wedding hairstylist had to cancel 3 weeks out from my wedding. I could not have been happier with their service or their communication throughout the process. Rebekah did my hair exactly how I wanted it, and was also able to squeeze in a last minute trial for me at very short notice. She took the time to listen to my bridesmaid and mum’s requests for their hairstyles, and was also just delightful to have around on the morning of the wedding. Thank you Karen, Rebekah and Powder Room team for a great experience.

I was really worried about booking a hair and makeup artist, as I was self conscious about how my hair would look being short after recovery from breast cancer treatment, and being interstate I did not have time to fly to Brisbane for any trials. I was referred to Karen at The Powder Room through my hairdresser and could not have been happier with the service and end result. I was assisted generously through the booking process by Karen, who took the time to explain everything to me, look at photos of my hair and give me ideas about how it could be styled (all that before I had even paid a deposit). Once I was locked in, Karen and her team made sure everything went smoothly, despite having to travel over an hour from Brisbane. When my assigned hair/makeup artist was sick the day before the wedding, I received a call to let me know that Karen herself would be coming. I felt very fortunate to have such a professional, kind and caring person with me in the lead up to the wedding and was very impressed and grateful that Karen was happy to work around my last minute planning madness on the day. Most importantly though, Karen made me and the mums look and feel terrific. I cannot recommend The Powder room highly enough!

I had an incredible experience with the girls from The Powder Room. After an awful experience with my original wedding hair stylist I rang The Powder Room a week out from my wedding in complete panic mode. They went above and beyond to help me and my hair and all my bridesmaids hair looked absolutely amazing. Having the girls there on the day was just like having 2 extra friends. They were organized and on time and really helped bring what I wanted to life. Everyone I met through The Powder Room was lovely but a special mention to my hair stylist Tracey who killed it on the day and gave me such a beautiful style. LOVE THIS PLACE!!! After being disappointed with every professional hair & make up job I have ever had I was very nervous going in for my wedding hair & make up trial....I shouldn't have been, Karen was lovely, accommodating and is simply AWESOME at what she does! She listened to my ideas for how I wanted to look on my special day and created a look for me that was about 100 times better than I even expected! I have heard people mention that they are more expensive than other establishments, but you get what you pay for & with Powder Room that's professional and lovely staff, quality products, a hair style that will last (without falling out or going flat) throughout your wedding day (and if you're lucky like me will still be pretty at your recovery brunch the next day - BONUS) & lovely make up that will also stay put for your entire wedding day whilst still looking fresh & natural. You will not be disappointed if you go with The Powder Room on your special day, I can't recommend them highly enough!
