Cutting Cloth

3 Weeks ago I went to the store with a friend. Received no greeting and were only spoken to in response to my greeting and purchase. Also refused to cut a fat quarter for me.This morning I walked into the shop on my own. I walked the entire store, looking at fabrics and templates as I went. No one bothered to greet me. No one bothered to offer assistance. No one bothered to look up. There was a woman at the counter the entire time I was in the store. I WAS THE ONLY CUSTOMER IN THE STORE! I left, calling out a loud ‘goodbye’ as I left, pulling the door hard behind me.Quilt fabric shops in Australia complain that quilters purchase online from overseas.I am appalled by the lack of service offered at this shop. The shop offers such a beautiful range of fabrics in a wonderfully decorated store. Such a pity the service rates at ZERO!

Have shopped online before but on Saturday I made a trip to this beautiful shop. I was not disappointed. In fact, I was overwhelmed with so many beautiful things. The variety, colours, designs and layout were all class. To add to that, the welcome, service and knowledge of the staff compliments everything about the store. Lizzie is such an asset, helping me to choose colours. Thank you for this beautiful shop. My only wish is that I could see details of all the fabrics online rather than having to come in store. I wish I had taken a video of each fabric.

Kelly is always incredibly helpful and goes above and beyond. A fresh, modern quilt shop with lots of variety, both fabric, classes, kits and wool.

The classes are fantastic and scrumptious food provided! All of the staff are lovely and willing to help you with anything you please. Overall I had a spectacular experience and the fabric is beautiful!

What an amazing place! I was there for yarn and they had some really gorgeous things, and the staff were all lovely!

I did a “virtual shop” at Cutting Cloth via FaceTime today as we are socially distancing. It was the next best thing to bring in the beautiful shop myself. Liz was super patient with me picking out colours of threads, lots of helpful tips and even some mini demonstrations thrown in from Kellie in the background! Such a fantastic service and a lovely break from my own 4 walls. Looking forward to doing a curb-side pick up of my bag of goodies this afternoon.

This absolutely beautiful quilt shop is the bees knees ! The boutique of quilt shops. Very helpful staff and i guarantee you will not walk out empty handed, as i never do :) I especially love that they are open on a Sunday (except in January) A good selection of classes also and huge classroom, you are not knocking elbows with students :)
