Champagne falls
It was really worth that we decided to go and see these two waterfalls. Make sure not follow google maps. The route to Champagne falls that google map shows is wrong. Head straight until you see the sign boards to Bridle Veil Falls and Champagne Falls. Then follow the orange marks on the trees. Visiting both falls at the same time was a wise decision.

A good hour walk to get there and mostly uphill. Park at the visitor area of Lemonthyme Lodge and then head up the hill. Worth doing the loop to include Bridal Veil Falls but bear in mind the track down to the falls isn't that clearly marked and can be slippery in the wet.

Champagne falls
Warning - Google maps was leading me to a different start point. For the correct starting point, head to Lemonthyme Lodge, park in the pain car-park there. Toilets accessible from main lodge building. Fairly straightforward, follow signage from carpark to walk trailhead. From there, most of the trip is steady uphill via closed 4WD track. There is at least one picnic table on the way up in a clearing on your left.Only visited Champagne falls, not the circuit this time round. The last section downhill through the bush had water running over it in sections and was significantly slippery - as can be expected in the rain. Took longer than anticipated. As unfit participants, walking time took us 1hr to the falls, an easy 30min back in the rain both ways.

Champagne falls
Amazing waterfall very well hidden in the forest after walking on a steep path.

Champagne falls
Great forest walk and spectacular waterfalls. Limited visitor parking space in Lemonthyme Wilderness Retreat. For safety,it is better to check in and out in the reception of Retreat. The correct navigation is driving through Dolcoath Rd. Walk about 1km up-mountain 4WD road then start forest hiking follow the sign. I would suggest start from Champagne falls, then walk to Bridal Veil Falls, which is easier pathway. Be ware of slippery walk on the way.

Champagne falls
1 hour and 20 min drive from Devonport, park at lodge day parking . Around 30 min walk then you will see the Beautiful little fall sign then turn right, down the hill. then another 20-30min walk you will see Bridal fall, do both at the same times.

Champagne falls
Absolutely worth the walk. Starts on a 4x4 track that is closed off to vehicles near the lodge. Medium grade. If it has been raining it is quite slippery. We did Bridal Veil via Champagne which for us was better, the last of the walk is easier that way.

Champagne falls
Definitely an intense trek and beautiful way to the falls. But seeing the falls after the trek is absolutely breathtaking. After the difficult trek, the mist from the waterfall falling on your face and seeing the waterfall up-close is an amazing experience.
