I visited the store about 6 months ago and was treated like I was not welcome. I thought maybe the lady serving me might have been having a bad day and I let it go. Today my sister was shopping there and was made to feel the same way and was spoken to derogatively. She was also appalled by the way one of the employees belittled the barristers in front of the customers. They have now lost 2 customers which is a shame as it is a lovely store. Plus Canberra isn’t a very big place and if this is how they treat their customers and employees, I’m sure it wont take long for word to get around.

As an old soul; I walked into heaven the other day with my new wife. I had the best chats with the owner who explained how many of the items she bought on her travels. I love how eclectic the store is, and the bonus that it’s a cafe as well is even better. We had so much fun. I’m going to have to save money to buy lots and lots more since our new home is original 70’s and so many of the items would be perfect for our home. There are some high prices, but it is a boutique and not an ‘op shop’. I’m going to have to go back soon to spend an afternoon looking at the items I missed. They’ve done a wonderful job and I had such a great experience on our honeymoon staycation. Thanks for such a wonderful and happy experience. It was so much fun!

Beautiful hidden gem located in the nation's capital with a wonderful selection of preowned and new boutique items. Thank you to Taylor and the Team for always going above and beyond no request is too small & don’t get me started on the floral arrangements in store!!

Woah. Ok... Where do I start... $75 for a cruddy 80s POLYESTER blouse?? Jaw dropped. I already had bad vibes the second I pulled up at the place: it's an op shop but it looks like some uppity boutique. Well. That's the thing... IT IS a boutique. False advertising!!!! Call it what it is: another overpriced consignment store! It's absolutely not an op shop, and it should not be advertised as one. I guess they couldn't think of a more creative way to describe Gentrified Antiques". Ladies working there seemed nice enough but I just know there's a nepo baby thing going on. Too suspicious to linger. If you're a rich white woman who wants to dip her feet into the second hand market

Had a really lovely time! Enjoyed a beautiful lunch that Dion made for me and I had my cup of tea in a beautiful old world cup n saucer sitting outside enjoying the rays of sunshine and pretty huge pits filled with Pansy's and seaside daisy's. So pretty! The shop is looking beautiful and very classy! They do everything beautifully! Well done Dose.

I had such an awful experience here. The daughter (that I understand is the fashion buyer) was rude and short with me. I can see that they made excuses for her behaviour before in another response to a review but maybe instead of this, she should consider how she treats customer as I am now another that they have lost. I won’t be back again.

I love shopping for vintage designer pieces and it is wonderful to have a place like this in Canberra. For the premium prices however, you would think that the garments have been cleaned and are ready to wear but this is not the case (every thing I have purchased from this shop always stinks and needs such a deep clean, which ultimately adds to the already inflated price!). I much prefer to shop at Material Pleasures where, much like DOSE, the prices are higher than a usual opshop due to the selection of pieces, but the garments have been repaired (missing buttons, dropped hems, etc) and cleaned (no dead skin/moth ball/old lady smell) and are ready to wear. (The care and effort invested by the team at MP is truly admirable).Customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I don't need/want a salesperson to hold my hand, but the overt judgment and rudeness toward those frequenting your store will serve only as a detriment to your business.

It's been a long time since a store has made me feel so snubbed and unwelcome. The store itself has some beautiful pieces but the attitude of the staff was beyond insulting.

I’d like to add to the chorus of reviews below. A couple of years ago I attended this shop to sell a few clothing items and the ‘buyer’, as noted in other reviews, was extremely rude to me. To quote, she said one of my items was ‘boring’ which I thought was an unnecessary comment. I would’ve been fine with a polite refusal. After insulting me, she then gave me a lowball offer (around $20-30 I think) on a skirt she liked. When I declined, she seemed affronted I’d turned down such a tantalising offer though I note the rudeness was still fresh in my mind. Suggest she works on her EQ. Since that time, I’ve told everyone I know to avoid this shop and I won’t be returning. Do not make excuses for ‘diverse skill sets’, this person should not be in customer service.

What a hidden gem of a store! Such a great range of secondhand and vintage items. Taylor the head buyer has such a great eye! The staff were so helpful and lovely. DOSE is perfect for an afternoon chai latte and a look around, defiantly a weekend (or weekday) must!
