Carlile Swimming Carlingford

Fantastic teachers! They are so nice and patient to train my daughter. Even sometimes my daughter refused to touch water they never pushed her to do anything and just encouraged her to try. I will recommend this swimming school to all my friends without hesitation. Thanks Georgie, Amelia and Rebecca.

Teachers are friendly and helps my kids to get used to water in a very fun way they forget they were scared of water :) so happy with Carlile Swimming to be my kids' first eve swimming experience!

Paid 400+ dollars for only three classes my daughter attended. All unused tokens had been forfeited without any refund. Recommend to read their terms and conditions to avoid these. The lesson was learnt though.

Our daughter has been going to Carlile Carlingford for about 10 months. All staff are friendly and helpful. We are happy with my daughter's achievment. My kid's teacher is Natalie. She is very friendly and experienced and professional. She can manage the class very well especially with learners with different levels of competency and does not waste any time. Her plans for each individual learner according to their needs and situations are obvious. We are really happy with Natalie.

Really good swimming school. The teacher is paying good attention to the kids and continuously keeping an eye on the kids and the parents, guiding them and always adding some level of improvement to the kids. Happy with the outcome after just a month, for my 27 months old son

We have been trying couple different swimming classes. This time my daughter enrolled the holiday program classes which I found is the most pleasant experience for myself and her so far.This base on one time experience. If regular classes in school term. Please read other comments too.Pros:*Carlingford centre location is good. In the Carlingford Court shopping centre.*Staff did swim assessment to my kid very professional.*Pool is shallow for adult max is 1.3m deep which is good for kids learn to swim.*Centre Layout...or I should say the floor plan of the centre is very good. All unisex changing rooms and toilets which is perfect design for parent takes kid to get change.......we went to other swim class before...some parent went to wrong toilet intentionally with kid (Women went to male toilet with her boy or the other way around) which cause lots of unpleasant experiences.Cons:*1 teacher with 5 kids with one lane...definitely the lane not wide enough for 5 kids. I am not happy about class size. Usually 1:4 ratio for what we had been before, this is why I can't give 5 stars.*Regulator class in normal school day are very popular and pretty much full capacity. With heater system and pack of people in the swimming pool I felt suffocate. There is no rooms for the parent in waiting area in normal day. (One of reason we went for holiday program.)*If your kid is new and want to enrol. The first thing is arranging swim assessment. Really hard to get one to be honestly. By phone usually full. Email takes couple days replied...The first step really hard to get in which stop most people going to be honest.

My son has been swimming since last year, he still in the same group , the skill progress getting worse because the coach changing, now they had more young people being a coach that seems do not have much experience teaching the kids. I had been feedback my son skills progress getting worse and I had been waiting patiently but nothing change. And now they increasing fees as well.Thank you for Darren response promptly. Let’s see what we can help my son get back on the track?

Swimming lessons are part of our weekly routine, but Carlile makes it really easy to sign in and we really like the convenient way the lessons are structured. I remember thinking it would be hard having two kids at different levels, but Carlile time it so they have their lessons at the same time, which helps a lot.☺️

Always long wait for service at reception, the ladies they’re never polite to customers. Daughter took one whole year class, after two fee increases and still don’t know how to swim. I’m a member at fitness first next door and we are allowed in pool when there is no class, I bought my daughter in the 0.5m - 0.9m pool (section near the change rooms) and got told to get out due to “safety”, my daughter is 1.25m tall! Hello!? I’m also in the pool supervising. Just gotten no good experience with management of this place period.Funny you mentioned it’s fitness first rule but when we got told off, the FF staff specifically said “we are just following Carlile rule, we have no say in this”. As a consumer from both businesses I feel being shuffled around with no business wanting to assume liability and being stuck in the middle.

My kids attended briefly. Their teaching philosophy is for everyone in the class to follow the same exercises every week, regardless of whether your child already mastered it or not. My child spent more time in a lower level even when they could progress to next stage to continue learning. I was told that because he could not do 1 thing at a perfect level, they could not move him because it would be used often in the next class. Not sure why he could not just improve it while he was in the next class if he was fine with everything else..Good for making money for the owners. Quality of teachers is also questionable as they were unable to correct my child’s swimming stroke because they did not properly watch him swim. Mentioned a few times to staff but they were unable to correct him properly till I had to talk to the manager.If you want your kids to progress in swimming, I do not recommend this place. We have moved to another swimming centre already, and both my kids have improved so much already.
