The atmosphere of this place is quite nice. Dim lighting and the colour scheme complement each other well. The music.... Could do with some work.... It's a mix of pop and Indian. Each track changes the mood of the place - not ideal. The food was quite nice. The Kori Gassi (chicken curry) was probably the highlight of the meal - if you like your chilli make sure you ask for it to be chilli. The garlic naans were really soft and actually had a garlic taste to it unlike many other places I've been to. The crispy spinach chaat is not really a chaat. It's more like a pakora with sauce on the side (meh). Great cocktail choices. The Hum Tum cocktail was surprisingly nice and sweet (recommended). Overall the staff were friendly, came across a little lazy or maybe they were quite tired. The prices were... astronomically high! Some of the dishes (particularly the raita) not even worth it. The sweet samosas were a pleasant surprise. Have not seen or tried it anywhere else. I would recommend this place if you're looking for a nice place for a special occasion only.

Great vibe, delicious food and tasty cocktails!Who thinks that is your classic Indian place is wrong! Indian food with a twist, modern and delicious, with a cool and vibrant vibe- that’s what Bhang is about. We had the Feed Me menu and the vegetarian was incredible! Loved the eggplant curry. The cocktails is the highlight with no doubt and I do recommend to try the Hibiscus Kiss and the Purple Haze.Do a favor to yourself and go have a good time there.I love it!

They make the best cocktails ever. The food tasted absolutely spot on and those soft nans was the highlight.Bit more spiciness in the food would have made it better but can understand. Next time I visit this place I’ll specify that.Surely this is in my list of favourite restaurants and will visit again. And I am excited to try everything on the menu but vegan.Oh!! How can I forget the ambience, it’s just amazing and is one of the perfect places for a date.I highly recommend this place.

Went for dinner last night with friends and family. Amazing food and service. Very busy and quite loud so I recommend booking ahead. Best Indian food around, seems to be a bit fusion inspired.

I love the solid door, creating and completing hiding the atmosphere inside. Downstairs houses the bar serving up cocktail specials to match the cuisine. While upstairs is filled by the aromas from the kitchen. Both spaces are moody and good dining options. The garam masala gin w/ lychee dragonfruit and lime was interesting - spicy and enjoyable but not to everyones taste (at least at my table). The spinach chaat was delicious as was the samosa chickpea (probably the highlight dish). The $25 thali supplied plenty of food but as I’m not one to handle spice too well the flavour of the meal was lost as soon as I got into the goat curry. I can at least say the texture of the goat and chicken were good - If I could somehow ask for a milder dish I’d order again. At 1 hour and 26mins in having also ordered 6 cocktails as a table we were pushed out. Overall an enjoyable experience, lived up to expectations, would recommend.

Hidden Gem!Tucked ever so slightly off Sydney Road in Brunswick. This is how you do elevated Indian street food. From start to finish, the generous portions are mild, unless you ask to heat things up. We explored meat and veggie options; both had a great the mix of flavours. The environment is comfortable and the staff and super friendly and happy to guide you along the journey. Don’t be afraid to try out a couple of their signature cocktails too! We left feeling happy and satisfied.

Wanted a place that did good cocktails and food. Cocktails were well made; in particular I enjoyed the Queen of Kerala. Food was just okay, and some of the food came out cold/luke warm, which is not nice. Flavour wise it was okay, but nothing to rave about. I think the price was pretty on point for the portion size, and the service was good. So good cocktails, but not so good Indian food.
