Delicious chocolate croissant and pear danish, the latte was really good as well. Reasonably priced with two pastries and two large take away coffees totalling $18.00. The young women working there were pleasant, helpful and efficient. I would certainly visit Brioche by Philip again.

A warm interior with a warm welcoming from these friendly staff at Brioche By Phillips on Lt Collins St.Within the glistening cupboard of aromatic pastries, I had to grab their popular coffee almond bronut. Heated up for you and brought to your table with a glass of water - that’s called service.A lovely rich and decadent coffee glaze which paired so well with the crunchy almonds. It was really sweet so thankfully there was more of a bread to glaze ratio. The brioche donut was fluffy with a slight crisp which I loved. However, too dense for my liking which I would have liked the bread to be a bit more airy.Rude to say of me, however the quality is at supermarket level but my experience was safe to say worth the visit, especially if you need a quick stop or sit down.Food: 3.75Value: 4Ambience: 4.5Service: 5

When Roger Ebert reviewed Tampopo he said it's a bemused meditation on human nature in which one humorous situation flows into another offhandedly

Now that I’m working more in Melbourne, one of the joys is trying different places for breakfast or coffee. Today was Briochi by Philip on the corner of Little Collins and Russell Streets. This place reminds me of a cafe in France I visited 12 months ago. It’s small. It’s busy. The danishes were good but the coffee here is better. Nobody does coffee like Melbourne. The freshly baked pastries looked very appetising and difficult to make a choice. Today was a danish. Next week? Maybe a croissant. There is three other locations around Melbourne - Queen Street, Ringwood and Prahran.Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Pram and stroller accessible.

What i ordered: hot skinny latte and hot matcha latteI’m picky when ordering matcha as some cafes do offer it but aren’t good! This one tasted authentic! The coffee is also good, well priced and lady serving was friendly and smiley! Would def come back.

This used to be a favourite place for good coffee and some tasty pastries until they start serving harden, days old coffee scroll then claimed it was freshly made when it was sent back. Seriously, don’t be foolish!

I can't speak highly enough of Brioche by Philip. I've been here a couple of times and on every single visit the staff are friendly and welcoming. The interior is nice as well. But most importantly, the bread and pastries are out of this world delicious. Prices are pretty much the same as some other 'fancy' bakeries, or even cheaper in some case, but everything is always fresh and tasty. I'm sure everything here is good, but the bronuts, sourdough bread and brioche bread (unsurprisingly) are especially worth trying. Highly recommended

I love this spot both for their unique pastries and their fulfilling yet affordable toasties (made even better as part of a coffee combo). Staff are always lovely as well. If you're in the city and after a treat, you can't pass up this spot.
