This was a lovely day out. The staff are attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. While the weather may impact your route, they make sure you see seals, dolphins and natural wonders. The walk is a gentle stroll around Darlington and the catering was delicious.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the trip on board Michael's cruise on 9th December. His sincerity and humor shined through while interacting with each guest, making everyone feel welcomed and entertained. His steady and experienced navigation throughout the trip made it a smooth sailing experience even though the water was choppy and the weather wasn't on our side. Katherine, the crew on board took care of us very well and made sure we were able to see all the views and not get wet by the rain and sea water. My wife was feeling a bit sea sick and she specially went up to the upper deck to check on her even though it was choppy. Her guide through the walk around Maria island was informative and she took care to pace the walk as we have young children with us. Overall an excellent experience for the young and old with very caring crew.

Mike (boat captain) and Ellen were an excellent crew. They are super experienced and shared a lot about the history, geology and wildlife of Maria Island. We checked a lot of boxes, especially with the wildlife as we saw bottlenose dolphins, seals, penguins, wombats, pademelon etc.The one unfortunate issue was that the waters around Mistaken Cape was super choppy. We are a family of 3 with a 21mth toddler. It turned out too much for us to swallow and we all got a bit sea sick. At one point, Mike had to call the people on the top deck to come down to the lower deck to reduce the weight at the top. But it’s nature and we can’t expect all fair conditions esp for an entire day in the elements. Nonetheless, the crew was prepared (there were vomit bags etc) and knew what to do. Kudos to that!Despite the choppy water, we had a lot of fun. Strongly recommended but always be prepared for rough conditions.

Michael was our guide for the trip, and he was an absolute treasure trove of knowledge. He shared fascinating stories about the area's history, marine ecology, adventure, which made the cruise all the more engaging. I was blown away by how much he knew and how passionate he was about the region.What I appreciated most about the team at Maria Island Cruise was how much they cared about us and our experience. They went above and beyond to ensure that everyone on the boat was well looked after and happy, which made the entire trip such a joyful experienceThe highlight of the trip for me was visiting the beautiful sea caves with their incredible colors. It was a surreal experience, and I felt like I was in a different world. We also saw a variety of wildlife, including seals and dolphins, which was a truly unforgettable experience.Luna

Amazing experience with Michael and Millie the experts who are super knowledgeable. It was exciting and somewhat adventureous. The scenery, the animals, food, wine etc. was too good and the hosts kept us super comfortable and engaged. Not to be missed

Beautiful day cruise to Maria Island. Had a shuttle pick up from Hobart then leave on the boat from a pier about 30mind away. Boat itself was great, very comfortable and good food (and wine!) supplied. Island cruise is gorgeous and we were lucky to see dolphins that came and played near the boat, along with seals. The history of the island is interesting and you'll find wombats and paddymellons (wallaby) everywhere. Highly recommend and enjoyed the cruise.

Captain Michael runs a great ship. Thrills, geology, history, new knowledge, wildlife, adventure and sights like I've never seen. Even the lunch was fantastic and always delivered in an amazing location. His staff is also knowledgeable and helpful beyond any expectation. If there was any way that I could give this team 6 stars ... I'd probably give them 7. I went on both of his Maria Island cruises and feel that the sum total of my cruise experience is life changing. I will recommend this to my friends and will likely return. Recommend to anyone looking for unexpectedly exciting adventure!

Great day on the water and a nice walk. Wonderful experience with a knowledgeable crew. The boat was comfortable and we felt completely safe.Thanks to Michael and Zoe for a memorable day. You guys rock.

It's a once in a lift time experience! The weather was a bit cloudy but not raining - which also means a good chance to see animals! We were so excited to meet our captain Michael and chief officer (?) Zoe; they welcomed us on-board and called us by names (25+ some ppl on board that day) - they truly pay efforts to let you make the most from this trip! Apart from their hospitalities, Michael is so knowledgeable about the whole island and the marine ecology (he explains a lot about the rocks and the beautiful fossil cliffs).We were also lucky enough to see a group of dolphins! Michael is really passionate about what he's doing and really make this cruise a most memorable experience! Highly recommended!
