The Pickled Wombat
Great spot. Accommodation was clean, cosy, functional and well maintained. Forgot something at the cottage, however, Katy came to the rescue and figured out a convenient way for me to get it off her. Very grateful for the whole experience :)

What a great place to find in historic St Albans after a picturesque country drive. Fantastic and friendly staff, very accommodating. Good variety of simple dishes beautifully prepared and served. Good value. Inside and outside seating in pleasant and comfortable surroundings. Recently renovated but still with country charm. Will definitely be back!

Recommended. Good quality food, reasonably priced and not stupid giant portions. Friendly and efficient staff. Nice setting. Breezy characterful balcony. And a wine list. What more could you ask for ?

Absolutely a must. The location is a beautiful ride (or drive) not far from the city but feels like you're in the middle of nowhere. The Pickled Wombat is a great setting with plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. Staff are friendly, welcoming and food service was quick. The coffee delicious and food scrumptious. We had a group of seven and some lunch meals included, egg and bacon roll, Chorizo roll, pasta bake, all were delicious and presented well. Can't wait to go back.

A very pleasant coffee with a good range of meals, snacks, cakes and daily specials. Great coffee and also licensed. Take a drive from Wisemans Ferry to St Albans along the quaint winding road along the Macdonald River with a stop at the Pickled Wombat, you won't be dissappointed.

The Pickled Wombat
Had a lovely coffee, wine and jam and scones. All top notch, however, it was the beautiful staff that were the best. The location was beautiful and peaceful too. Looking forward to visiting again, next time for a full meal.
