Ciao Mamma!
The food is really delicious and staff are lovely. I was a little surprised how expensive the bill was but I think this comes down to the fact that the vibe doesn’t necessarily match the prices. Given the price point I think the restaurant could benefit from dimming the lights a bit, adding candles to the tables and changing the music to something more atmospheric rather than pop music and turning up the heating to create a more special experience to match the price point. Although staff were lovely, the lack of proper heating combined with bright lights and loud pop music and desserts served in plastic creates a vibe that detracts from what could otherwise be a fantastic “date night” venue. Everyone was wearing jackets inside because it was quite cold! That said, it’s worth a visit for gluten free folks looking for yummy pasta and desserts!

I had a lovely dinner here at Ciao Mamma! We were visiting Melbourne from country Vic and were not disappointed. As a coeliac with a coeliac child, I am always nervous about dining out, but here all our needs were catered for. Our host, Ali, was friendly, well informed and gave us incredible service. The food was top notch, with Al Dente gluten free pasta as a definite highlight. We had a wonderful experience and completely safe for us with dietary requirements. Thank you! Highly recommend.

Wow! From Sydney and to have an Italian meal of this quality, where not only my coeliac niece could eat her first parmi, but I could enjoy a GF pasta with out garlic or onion (yep I’m low formap) altogether was incredible. The owner Tina and her staff were delightful and friendly and we will happily drive 10 HOURS to eat here again.Thank you Tina. Having someone in your family with eating restrictions, you understand how special this was for us. X

Hands down the BEST gluten pasta I have had in my life. So many gluten free options on the menu and the best part is the food doesn't taste like typical gluten free food. This place is roughly an hours drive from me, but that won't stop me coming back. Amazing!

My partner and I both had the parmi with chips (got it delivered) and absolutely loved it! It was the tastiest gluten free parmi that I’ve had since having to change my diet! It’s a little bit pricier than then others I have had in the past but definitely worth the money!Definitely worth trying if you need gluten free!

Ciao Mamma!
This is my new favourite Italian Restaurant. The service, the atmosphere and especially the food is at the level you would expect from a restaurant that charges double the price. The beautiful waitress that served us gave the most detailed explanation of everything on the menu, spoken with a gorgeous Italian accent. If we didn't live 2000km away, I would return to this restaurant weekly. Oh, did I mention that it is Coeliac Certified Gluten Free. Where most of the menu is either gluten free or can be made GF.

Hands down the most authentic home made Italian cuisine that I have ever tasted in Melbourne. My second time here. I had the special home made lasagne with 4 cheeses. It was absolutely divine. My friend had a parmigiana Fodmap style. The ingredients were so fresh. Even the sauce in the parmigiana tastes like how real tomato sauce should taste.A cosy restaurant, amazing happy staff and the owner of the restaurant is delightful. Will definitely be back.Magnifico!!!!!!PS: check out the gelato. It is to die for.

Came here for a birthday feast for the first time as a coeliac. Had previously seen great reviews from gluten free forums and I can see why.As soon as we were seated, the lovely waitress asked if we required the meal to be gluten free. She was then super helpful with explaining the menu (most of which was gf).The Mushroom sauce fettuccine was absolutely divine, rich and creamy. The gluten free pasta was cooked to perfection and the texture was so good that you wouldn't even know it's gluten free.We were absolutely stuffed after entrees and pasta but we just had to squeeze in dessert. The tinamisu (tiramisu) and Nutella donuts were the perfect finish to my night in gluten free heaven.

Extremely wonderful place :) The service was fantastic, and the food was even better! Authentic cabonara without cream and actually uses Guanciale!! Was very keen once I had found out, the chef was kind enough to give me some extra guanciale upon hearing my excitement. The Cannoli was also delicious, great way to wrap up the meal. Looked and tasted so good I had forgotten to take a picture. Really sweet and lovely place with welcoming servers. Would highly recommend and will be coming back here again.
