Serenity Lounge Hawthorn

i got my nails done with shellac on my natural nails, and i tell you never again will i come here. i asked for a simple design (one colour with a single accent nail of a little smile on the nail) and i could have done better myself at home. first of all, i showed her a specific photo of exactly what i wanted, and she looked at it whilst doing my nails and still, even though she knew exactly what i wanted, she stuffed them up. it looks like a toddler drew a smile with sharpie on my nail, and the shellac was chipping within the first day of having these nails on. 10/10 would NOT reccomend, unless you are doing the absolute minimum of a nail design ( AKA just one colour on all nails).

To be honest, not sure why there’s a lack of reviews for this place! I had such a lovely experience with Annie. She did a great job! The salon was very clean and service was fast! The quality of the gel polish seemed very good. Overall it cost me $58 for my pedicure shellac and to remove old polish! I’ll be coming back again soon!

I’ve always had good experiences here, friendly staff and good attention to detail. Nails always last at least 3 weeks for SNS. Spacious and you don’t feel like you’re sitting on top of the person beside you like other salons.Worth making a booking rather than trying for a walk in if you are time pressed. Girls will always try to fit you in either way.

The mani/pedi took about an hour and a half because they forgot the mani and then I had to wait because they were short staffed. However the worst part of the experience is that they used neat acetone around my cuticles to clean up the nail polish. I was concerned at the time because the skin around the cuticles looked very white. Now the skin around my nails (fingers and toes) is damaged and peeling. I have never seen my skin react this way so they must have used some really toxic stuff. Not impressed and I will not be returning.

A lovely salon, great customer service and you never have to wait. You have your own container with your nail file and buffer which is excellent hygiene. Great prices too. I have been to so many similar places and I wouldn't go anywhere else now.

I've had my nails done for many many years in many many places I stumbled upon this place and thought I'd give it a try hoping for better service and experience than whats received from down the road. Walked in it's fresh& an expansive salon, very clean no chaos, it's serene the staff are pleasant and then I met the technician that was working on me. She was terrific, she was friendly she made eye contact she spoke to me though I didn't go there for a chat we did, made an effort to talk to me and we had a lovely discussion while she created gorgeous nails for me - the service was really excellent! I highly highly recommend them and thank you very to much Elaine really superb!

Always get really good service here. Really nice, big, clean space, feels very luxurious. Had a not bad leg wax here once but usually get shellac which lasts well. Could have better colour selections.

Best pedicure ever!This was my first time at Serenity Lounge in Glenferrie Rd. Beautiful setting that was extremely clean and their hygiene practices were the best I have experienced around the Hawthorn area to date. Their customer service was personable and wonderful. Would highly recommend and will certainly be a returning customer.

they do nails well but are understaffed - I don’t mind a bit slower but don’t take 1.5 hours to do my toes and then tell me you can’t do my fingers….

Terrible!!! Booked an appointment and waited an hour to start my service which wasn’t what I wanted!!! My kids could do better and the ladies were so rude!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!
