Dog Fence
When you realised how long this fence runs for and how it essentially marks out the border between SA and NSW you’ll realise it’s more than just a fence! A real testament to Dingoes and the influence they had on Australian agriculture

Great spot out here - the fence just stretches for miles into the distance. Easy smooth road suitable for 2WD vehicles to access

Dog Fence
The Dog Fence is notable in all States where it has been built in grazing country. It is a point of interest in terms of when, why & how it was built. While not a 'glamorous' sight it is worthy of a visit if one is in the area.NOTE This is a quite arid/dry & hot/cold region. Visitors must be properly prepared when travelling.

5,000km fence to stop dingoes eating livestock. Quick stop but worth a look as it literally goes on forever.

You have to understand that this is just a fence. The significance is in it's length and history. I saw it as I was in the area to see the amazing views. The point marked on the map has an information board as well which gives you some of the history.

Drive to dog fence was good and enthralling but nothing to see there. But you can enjoy the drive and rock formations while going to Dog fence.

A massive undertaking to build 5,000 kms of fence to keep the dingoes away from sheep. Need permits to visit here.
