JBC YACHT ENGINEERING - HYDRALIGN FEATHERING PROPELLERS

I approached JBC to manufacturer a stainless ladder for my yacht. I have previously bought manufactured versions and was a little concerned about the quality of the finish I might get for a 'be-spoke' version. I shouldn't have worried! The finished ladder is beautifully welded and finished to my exact specifications and the cost was as good as I was able to get from any other manufacturer. Best still, the guys at JBC were happy to help with any changes, adjustments etc. So a very happy customer!

JBC Engineering did a great job machining and fabricating the metal steering components on our 40 foot ocean going yacht, this involved work on the rudder stock (including sleeving) bearings, steering wheel key, brake, threads, and other components. They also did the anchor winch, we engaged well with George and Damien; highly recommended.

We were stuck with no prop in Fiji after a severe electrical stray current reduced our prop to nothing. This was very disappointing as we’d saved for 2 years to sail away with our young kids. George was amazing in his swift response to machine us a new prop and deliver it to a house. A random guy who was flying over to Fiji on a holidays brought it to the airport in Nandi. We have nothing but praise for George and his quality service. The new junior Hydralign prop has been a perfect fit for our Moody 42. Ordered a new 20 inch feathering propeller for my 50 foot 20 tonne yacht.JBC, made the prop at a very competitive price, like 50% the max prop replacement would have been!Excellent communication and very flexible.The boat is now a little bit slower than it was previously but George has said the next time it is out of the water he will come and alter the pitch to get me back to full speed.So all-round excellent service, excellent price and a very satisfied customer.Thank you George and Sam

I purchased a hydralign 3 blade propellor from JBC. From the very beginning George was on the case supporting me in Victoria, he even offered to fit it whilst he was on holiday ! I consulted George for advice when I diagnosed my propellor as having loose blades. He was extremely responsive and gave comprehensive, quality advice before I had even engaged him. I was initially going to attempt to remove the prop with the boat in the water, but thankfully I took George's advice and had the boat lifted to do this work. In the end, to my great relief I did not have to buy a new prop, but George simply did a thorough inspection of my existing prop and fastened it back together for me. Overall it was a very good experience dealing with George and I will certainly be calling upon him when the time comes for a new prop for my boat, or for any other engineering work which requires the use of a trusted professional. Needing some work to my Autostream prop I reached out to George from JBC Engineering who I believe now manufactures these props. He has been prompt and helpful and provided me with friendly and excellent service.

I ordered a Hydralign for my long keeled Cape Dory 33. Whilst top speed was maintained, power in parking situations increased with prop wash improving considerably. Prop walk stayed the same (useful) but most surprisingly, performance in reverse improved considerably (she doesn’t park like a fin keeled boat, but she’ll go back in a straight line for a boat length easily enough now). George and the team at JBC looked after me throughout the buying and fitting process - a great company with a great product! I should have bought one years ago!

The team's communication was honest and went above and beyond, a pleasure to deal with and really easy to work with. I bought a Feathering 3 blade Hydralign Junior and the finished product is fantastic, equally as important was how well George coordinated with the mechanical contractors to get the job done in fantastic timing.
