Spotlight Rockdale

If there were a decent alternative fabric & sewing/craft store near by I'd probably go there instead.There were only 3 trolleys in the whole store & none were available. At least one trolley was being used by staff from what I could tell.I had to queue to get out of the store. The main entrance (which used to be an exit) was blocked off & said it was fitted with an alarm. I'd already paid for my goods at another register yet had to wait 15 minutes in the queue at the exit register.The selection of fabrics was good though it was difficult to ascertain what the prices were, what was on special, etc.I bought a mini bottle of drink on the way out (since I had to queue). The price under it said $3.50 (ridiculous price for this size) but was charged $4.40 for it. The attendant wasn't prepared to walk the 2 metres to check this.The attendant at the cutting desk/register was very helpful on all occasions I have visited this store in the past year.It was so hot in the store without air-conditioning that it became unpleasant to stay for too long. It was only 30C outside so fans would have been good.There is adequate, free parking below the building.

Good store - has plenty of stock. But be aware the escalators don’t also work (not Spotlights fault) so you may need to walk up a couple of steep escalators to get to the store.Also, a Covid compliant store.

Great place for all your home, school and business needs. Ranging from fabric to back to school products and even costumes. Here as well you can find bedding, curtains and all your fabric needs.

Their after sale service is pathetic. I ordered some custom made blinds from them. First of all they took 2 months to make those blinds. And then when they came to install the blinds it turned out that they took incorrect measurement for one of the window. They have taken it back and said that they have to redo it. Now one of my room doesn’t have any blinds. I have called up their head office with not much help. They said that someone will call me back asap, but it’s been already a week and no one has called me back. I have tried to call the guy who came to my house to o take blinds measurements. His name is Alec. He doesn’t pick up my call nor does he call back. Spotlight has already taken full payment even before installing the blinds. Now I don’t know where else to go. So please beware of these guys. Don’t make any payments to them unless they get the job done as they have a tendency to abscond with customers money.

Great place with lots of nice things BUT the lack of staff and the speed they work at is appauling to me. They work in slo motion and chat all day. There are also no workers here ever

Went there to pick up foam and fabrics for my 9 yo son. He wanted to make a puppet. I also picked up black fabric dye to fix my accidentally bleached black pants, which I did while mopping the floor:)

The Spotlight store in Rockdale is probably one of the worse Spotlights I have been to. It is in desperate need of a renovation and the staff are not only hard to find but very nonchalant and uncaring. They do however stock a lot of products just like all of the Spotlight stores in Australia.

Spotlight Rockdale is a large store but didn't have the staff to assist customers on the Sunday. I requested help which never came, probably because the staff member was run off her feet. I came to buy blockout curtains, and a blind and left with just 2 pillows. There was a queue at the cash register and only 1 girl serving. Felt dissappointed that I couldn't find what I needed and wasted time looking.

My daughter and I went to Spotlight Rockdale today looking for ideas for a dress project. We were served by Martina in the fabrics section and we were very impressed by her customer service. Martina went out of her way to assist us and was an absolute sweetheart. 10/10 customer service. She made our day. Thank you

Ordered made to measure x2 big curtains, 1sheer and 2 tracks. Love the curtains although the one in my bedroom which is meant to be a blackout doesn’t even close all the way, all the lights gets through the space and I expect it to be perfect because it was 3k and was made to measure. I have been trying to email them with no reply. There are many other cheaper options around, don’t waste your money I say. The picture is taken 6am and the last one is where it keeps getting stuck and I have to climb the ladder to fix it to fully close :(((Update: after trying to reach out for so many days a lady rang me and organised the same guy to come and fix it
