Had the best galactoboureko in a long time, and let me tell you my father was a pastrycook since 1956 and I grew up in a cake factory. Thanasi knows what he is doing with this recipe. Highly recommend.

Fay and the team provide great tasting cakes, desserts, biscuits and other baked goods, especially the Greek sweets/biscuits - the taste of the xwrio (Greek translation - village!) at your doorstep! You definitely must to try their tiropites/spanakopites (cheese and spinach/cheese pastries) - unreal! Also makes amazing coffees, with (hands down) the best Frappe in the local area (there is even Nounou milk for that authentic finish!)

Bought the Greek traditional Xmas cookies today (Kourabiedes and Melomakarona) and they were absolutely delicious. Highly recommended for home or as a gift.

If you want consistency and taste along with great designs, Cake on the Road has to be your go to cake shop! I am always just in awe because it tastes so good and looks great just like the pics I send them as inspiration. I think in a span of 1 year I have ordered more than 10 cakes and my friends too have started ordering from them because YOU GET VALUE AND TASTE ! Fay and Nathan are so lovely and humble and they are the most accomodating sweetest kindest people I've met . I can vouch for them any time any day eyes closed BESTEST CAKE BESTEST FLAVOUR (red velvet raspberry is my favourite flavour)

I had an “Ekmek” an hour ago from their pop-up stand at the Greek festival at Tumbalong Park.It was literally a cross between a cheese cake and plain whipped butter with a bit of Kataifi at the bottom with no syrup or custard at all. Very very disappointed as it looked like Ekmek before eating it, and then while eating it, it was apparent this was not an Ekmek.Maybe this place does other products well, but they definitely made the worst attempt to an Ekmek I’ve ever seen. If someone had given me this with a blindfold on and asked me to guess what dessert it was, I would have said something like a frozen Sara Lee Cheescake.Absolutely no syrup at all, no custard. The cream tasted like Philadelphia Cream Cheese. No nuts in it at all as well.Shame

A warm friendly cosy environment. All the cakes are made by Fay on the premises. You can order a cake or buy what's available in the cabinet.I love the chocolate mousse.Enjoy a cake with your coffee.

Visited their stall at the Greek Festival in Darling Quarter last weekend. They claimed to have the best lamingtons in town, but they were not. They were stale and over priced at $10 each.
