Northern Sydney Community Recycling Centre
This is an important facility and can be busy at times. It is well organised and disposal points for different items are prominently marked. It does help throughput if visitors do a little pre-sorting before they arrive. The main point of this post is to comment on the staff and recent negative comments. I visited the centre on Tuesday of this week and found the staff member on duty to be very efficient and helpful. He greeted me cordially, reviewed my load, directed me to the appropriate bins and even provided me with a trolley for the heavier items. Well done and thankyou.

What a great idea! We just recently painted our home and don’t know what to do with the leftover paints. Have read a lot about how the paint can pollute the environment. To be able to recycle the paint and small appliances are great.Staffs are also very friendly and knowledgeable, this place is also very well maintained and clean.

Went there for the first time today. The guy was quite rude and expected me to know all the processes and where to put things in. I strongly think that he needs some Customer Service training. My experience was below par which is unfortunate considering this is a great facility to dispose your electronic goods responsibly. I hope the council takes some action to help this guy improve his skill.

I had read some reviews here complaining how rude and unhelpful the staff were. I had lots of different types of strange waste to separate and dispose of from my recently deceased father’s almost hoarder-like garage which was overwhelming for me as a first time user. I had braced myself a negative experience but the staff could not have been more patient and helpful….particularly Michael who was there on several of my visits. The place is busy, highly organised and very efficient so I can only imagine the staff becoming frustrated and impolite if people are not following their very logical and clearly outlined procedures.

This place is very clean and well organised. You can see all acceptable recycling items have clearly signed. Staff are also very welcoming and helpful. I parked my vehicle outside and took recycling items into the cummunity recycling centre then I released if you have bulky items you can drive through and exit from back door. You can recycle your unwanted items free of charge here.

Northern Sydney Community Recycling Centre
I was pointed to a sign by the attendant working there that stated “no pedestrian access” as I walked in. Are North Sydney and surrounding councils funding a recycling centre that excludes a large portion of their population without a car space and car? Are they expecting rate payers to rent a car in order to recycling something? Or simply bin the item?
